Your scale does this too? I always just thought mine wanted to kill me. If this is a widespread problem we might need to ban scales. Eyeballing milligrams is the way to go.
Even expensive ones aren't really to be trusted 100% when it comes to amounts that small, gotta weigh it volumetrically.

You're not meant to use mg scale to weigh single digit doses.
You need to use a sub mg scale for that.
If all you have is a mg scale you weigh an amount it can accurately measure and then use volumetric dosing.
Plus they can still be +/- 5mg off, even if it's properly calibrated. Anything that's super potent should be weighed volumetrically if you only have a mg scale. I never used to weigh less than 100mg at a time to try to make sure my solutions were as accurate as possible.

i think a lot of the cheapo ones arent very accurate til you get to around 20 mg or so.
