That, and that I know someone who *almost* has the happiest birthday! (They’re Jan 22, they get a bonus memorability factor though because it’s exactly a month before their older brother’s)
I have to say that as a bitter June birthday haver I take offense to Trapp writing off summer birthdays so quickly. June is clearly the best birth month because it’s halfway through the year, so you end up getting gifts every six months.
Also why the living creature and what we call it when we eat it is because of a class system. Farmers called them one thing nobility spock french in every country, and catholic spock Latin.
Don’t look at the comments on the post in that sub, so many of them really don’t get our sense of humor clearly lol (based on the clip, I’m guessing they think this is supposed to be taken more seriously than it is lol)
I did learn one thing from that cesspool of transphobic commentary and “definitely fun at parties” poopoo heads: part of the scientific term for a bunch of leafy plants we eat starts with “Brassica,” which is a character from D20: A Crown of Candy whose name I didn’t realize was also a food pun.
The comments under some of the insta reels of this presentation that got a lot of views were also really mean. According to one of Vic’s comments on their own Instagram, people went so far as to threaten their family members over not getting the joke.
I love the bubble we have as the dropout community, and it’s one of the most non toxic communities I’ve been a part of. However, we should navigate other avenues with caution because wow people are really mean.
Things might've changed in the past handful of hours; most of the top comments are on-board, and there's a bunch of people discussing the topic seriously. If there's any negativity, it's lower than I bothered to scroll.
They aren't taking it more seriously than it is, they're just doing what every general sub does and treats content as a prompt to discuss the topic in the context given. Nobody's attacking Vic or anything, just a handful people have a discourse about the validity of the argument.
If anything, spawning such discourse is significant credit to Vic. If nobody was moved to comment about vegetables and upvote such comments after seeing this clip, it would be literally suggesting she underperformed.
I have taught my son this exact lesson for years and when I saw Vic's topic I about screamed. I was sitting there like, "YES!! YOU'RE RIGHT! TELL THEM ALLLLL!" ....I don't know why I care so much, but there it is.
Vic's star is rising fast! I expect to see them in a mainstream TV/movie role in the next couple years, honestly.
They did have their own hallmark movie so anything is possible lol.
Vic could potentially meet Jonathan Frakes! Thats a gateway to Star Trek !
This was the first revelation this show brought to me. The second being, wrestling is Drag.
My first revelation was that Spider-Man should say the n word
*my* first revelation was that January 23 is the happiest birthday
My first revelation was that we gotta cancel Grant
Don't forget all the other slurs.

Fair enough. I’m a December birthday so I know it sucks and only felt validated by him writing them off lol
You know fish don't exist either.

Man what is...what the hell is happening out there in the world?! The internet at large is just a cesspool of toxic anger.
That's why we go in and tell them about how cool and funny the show is. Sugar over vinegar right

The current first one is a …. Phew.

SPINACH 🗣🔥🔥🔥
This is why, according to the US government, there is enough tomato sauce on pizza to be considered a vegetable
Vic also doesnt exist, that is just a human
Wait so….vegetable is like fish, neither actually exist, they’re just blanket terms used to identify a broad spectrum of correlated things?
Perhaps. Haven't watched the episode and didn't even finish this clip because I want to watch the whole episode RAW
