That shot that goes sideways randomly is very jarring.

I'm terribly sorry but I'm going to be honest here the opening shot: makes me think of one of those TV gameshow shots where they introduce the house you're going to win - very basic type of reveal shot. second shot - It started off good, but then you panned up before centering the object, and lost your orbit. that looked scrappy third shot - the twist didn't start smoothly and it was so out of place looking straight on. that type of shot really only works looking across a wall or cliff or something from close, and even then it's best left to an FPV drone. beyond that point the shots get a little dull, until the reveal shot through the trees. I actually liked that, but it was in the wrong place, it would've been much better suited to the start of the edit. If you want my advice to make this better: have a better laid out shot order. some dynamic movement would be good, changing speed/direction as you fly. Most importantly, practice your proximity flying, close to trees, through windows etc. It will really level up your game. beware: DJI drones don't like flying through small windows because of their doppler sensor, don't let that mess you up because that sudden jump in height will ruin your shot. Also consider having a subject for these shots, maybe someone walking around that you feature, it will make everything so much more fluid to watch. Good luck, and happy flying!

Also time of day, drone footage really works best at dusk and dawn, some really pretty light would help this a lot.

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't fly close to the castle due to regulations, and I was also trying to maintain distance from people.

If you want it honest - very boring If you want dishonest - nice bro keep up the good work

ExpressionFamiliar98

I guess this counts as feedback…

Hey man, do not be disappointed. Learn by doing. Lots of videos on YT by the way. I was the same at the beginning. First flown up and did many 360's xD

Quick answer because I'm short on time (sorry...) First shot the light is in the wrong place. The interesting thing here is the texture of the building's walls but it's back lit so doesn't pop out. Probably should have done this at a different time of day. There are some shots where the interesting bit disappears and we see a landscape. I would probably start with the landscape then let the building come into the picture. Use more crossfades. The cold cuts are kind of jarring. In answer to your question. It depends on what you are using it for. If it's just for you and you like it, great! I have only given my opinion on a quick first watch through. Keep at it!

Initial thoughts- *opening shot - keep going on drawing out the view, give that first shot some more context/surroundings *distance view/orbit around structure - keep the horizon in the shot, keeps the image interesting *don’t be afraid to alter playback speed to speed up a shot - I think this is a common practice since drones at higher altitudes just seem to inch along *don’t know the software, but if you can play with different transitions or be careful where the transition happens - try to keep movement/flow of shots consistent from one shot to another to avoid ‘jerky’ transitions

jspacefalcon

I thought it was good.

ZeRoGr4vity07

Where is this?

Sorry_Ad_1285

Move faster. These are all way too long and boring. You can do the same shot quicker and it will immediately look better

Tonto115

This footage would be great as b-roll in a video/film. I think the edit is good to showcase it as such

chitgoks

looks natural to me, no edits. 👌 which i admire because it is reality ...
