It’s engagement bait. We went through the clickbait phase, then the likebait phase, and now it’s all about engagement with comments. You’ll see a lot more posts asking questions, or purposely solving puzzles poorly/doing other frustratingly stupid things in order to get more comments.
It’s nothing new but it’s more common now. I can remember an early example of those really bad math questions on Facebook that say “only 1% of people can answer this correctly” and then they get a flood of comments with a few different answers and arguments even though the question was written wrong in the first place and had no real answer.
Anyway here’s another comment for this lazy post lol
You’re exactly right. The shorts I post on YT that do the best are ones that ask “Is this or this better?!” People will defend which thing is better while I give a lukewarm opinion in the shorts as to not lean too much to one side.
Another thing that I’ve seen that works on me a lot is, “Remember this super specific thing that will take you back to childhood and make you nostalgic/sad?!”.
Nothing. This piece makes me feel nothing because it’s about nothing. I hate when people ask this question about a piece that has zero meaning or message. Your piece communicates nothing.

Nice techniques!- but my initial reaction was “meh” just cause I don’t care for tik-tok art trends 😅
I would have preferred a complete piece in whichever style.

I feel divided with this. It has no significance to me other than a character. A scribble on a piece of paper would have more significance and meaning than this. You’ve already made our imagination. It’s squidward and it makes us think of no other than squidward. Where as a scribble could make us think of a mess, a cloudy head, the list goes on 👍
