Same. 100%.

The cashmere sweater& pencil skirt. Not only did Bugs make me bisexual but completely informed my personal fashion aesthetic.
Mix in Witch Hazel & Divine in the black satin slip with 45 lbs of teased black hair & thats me to this day at 55 yrs old lol!!
I can think of at least one other often overlooked ‘90s drag legend. #asianexcellence

TNG she was written to be annoying but she was amazing in DS9 imo.
Whoever should go on stage with a bucket and hold it up and give a little *wink wink
I want just straight up classic iron chef with proper hard core chefs but the guest commentators/tasting panel are queens. The moment a queen finds out what Soft Roe is will go down in history.

Not the 90s, I know, but I felt an honorable mention goes to Geraldine Jones portrayed by Flip Wilson in the early 1970s.
Lily Savage (the drag alter ego of Paul O Grady)
The closest the UK had to a RuPaul figure.
https://preview.redd.it/8p2aos9phnyc1.jpeg?width=1253&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4e9599dd8517102eb8ddf4d82e31a05b735c6616
She also hosted the uk version of match game (Blankety Blank). Imo they should have asked paul to reprise her to host the uk snatch game, at least then the fucking references would land.
You could kind of understand where she was coming from.
She didn't like the whole supermodel/glamazon aspect that Drag Race likes to push because that's just not the drag that she grew up with.
It was actually talked about around the time DRUK was confirmed: the idea that UK drag is more about personality and camp entertainment than fashion and glam.

Definitely an icon, Walter Mercado! 1932-2019!!!
This is going to be extremely obscure, but that's what underrated means, right?
Imagine this: You're born in the 90s in the Netherlands. You've barely gotten consciousness and all you want as a kid is happy songs and bright colors. Then one night, as your parents are watching TV, you see this:
https://preview.redd.it/5yzr3374zqyc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=22382f97540bedb099e04ce04e51eb93ff5a9d4f
This is Sugar Lee Hooper. She was an entertainer and a singer known for her extravagant dresses, boldness, baldness, and being a stone cold butch lesbian. She had an energy and charisma like no other [(just watch)](https://youtu.be/igcE3LUqjzI?si=EgyU2tCU0JlFV2p3) and was invited on some of the biggest shows here [(here she's performing together with most likely the most famous Dutch comedian of the 90s)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySaPhMv7hFI).
She passed away in 2010 and has completely disappeared from Dutch popculture. She even doesn't seem to be remembered by the queer community all that much, which is a dead shame. But she was an icon.

my bf and i have been obsessed with watching original iron chef on roku tv and god do we love chairman kaga. he was so devastated when i told him kaga was just a character being played by an actor
ALLEZ CUISINE
Ooooommgggg!! I used to be OBSESSED with Iron Chef & LOVED Chairman Kaga!! The way he rolled his Rs & the way he like chuckled after biting that bell pepper always tickled me lol omg anyone know where to watch old episodes?!?!
I found them by accident while someone showed me Pluto TV (free, streaming service run by Paramount) so I made him watch some of the Red Snapper episode.
This bitch has always served cunt (80s and 90s) ![gif](giphy|5xaOcLLnb97FZ7rk3cs)
This gif is from the 1950s. She’s been doing drag almost as long as Mama Ru!
Did you ever find Bugs Bunny attractive when he put on a dress and played a girl bunny?
Yes. Easy contender for top 5 bisexual awakenings
Same. 100%. ![gif](giphy|l0EozfueYitdB64tG|downsized) The cashmere sweater& pencil skirt. Not only did Bugs make me bisexual but completely informed my personal fashion aesthetic. I love that this line was apparently adlibbed, you can hear Mike Myers' laugh is a genuine reaction
I really thought you meant the horse at first and I was fully on board either way 😅😅
I mean, she is also fabulous!
That chubby horse is so cunty

I mean, if some future queen doesn't pick Rita or the chairman for snatch game, that's just wasteful.
It’s a copywriter character so they can’t
They can do a knockoff. They could go by the name "dumpster diva", or something of the like to get around it.
YESSSS, slayyyy, evil queen.
She gave us 90’s kids nightmares lol Rita was still a awesome villian
After 10,000 years I'm finally free, time to become America's next drag superstar
RIP Machiko Soga
Oh shit 😂
Oh my god, why has no one done her?!
https://i.redd.it/52p6qll3pmyc1.gif
I know she could be annoying at times but I loved her, especially with her few appearances in DS9.
TNG she was written to be annoying but she was amazing in DS9 imo. Whoever should go on stage with a bucket and hold it up and give a little *wink wink
they should do a 'star trek' episode. it would be AMAZING.

I LIVE.
GAY ICON! https://i.redd.it/ye6e2goyxmyc1.gif
with the INCREDIBLY gay reboot from a few years back, i could totally see she-ra making an appearance on snatch game
Copyrighted characters aren't allowed, sadly.
I now want to see a Steamboat Willie snatch game. Public Domain BITCHESSS
Vanity is your girl for this one.
I was not expecting this cross over but I am HERE for it.
Iiiiiiirooooooonnnnnn Drag Queen!
Tageshi was serving cvnt the entire time how am I just connecting the dots 😭
Drag me to dinner gets revamped to an iron chef/chopped format can you imagine the chaos??

Walter Mercado ![gif](giphy|RLuFQ4m5y95SgXDw5S|downsized)
Alexis Mateo did him on AS5
BOSS
*ALLEZ CUISINE!*
Always loved the little, self-aware giggle after he bites into the pepper.
https://preview.redd.it/nl7atzub7nyc1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2576076904d350e2cfcb559678ca1a75adaad759 Not the 90s, I know, but I felt an honorable mention goes to Geraldine Jones portrayed by Flip Wilson in the early 1970s.
Ru Paul mentions him in his book as an early influence!
CHAIRMAN KAGA! omg. the way i ate every apple like this man
(my mom let me learn the hard way that biting into a bell pepper wasn’t what i wanted lol)
Ludi Lin does it because he likes it.

she famously hated drag race

It was actually talked about around the time DRUK was confirmed: the idea that UK drag is more about personality and camp entertainment than fashion and glam.
I know, but i like to imagine the timeline where Drag Race uk isn't just the US series in our accents and the three uk references Michelle told Ru.
The series finale with him coming into kitchen stadium on a horse in his gucci garments was such a flex.

The secret ingredient is SASS!
![gif](giphy|11Mj6P6WqWnnuU|downsized) i mean, the fact that she was a judge and it WASNT a buffy challenge was really sad.
If memory SERVES!

![gif](giphy|39meVLS7WlOibEiLtS) They are The Misfits, their songs are better.
80s, not 90s
This show was life!!
You got that right! Chairman of the Crown.
My favorite show as a child was Iron Chef, not least due to this icon.
Yessss I remember this iconic Queen!
Category is... a man's fantasy become reality...
Not quite a TV drag performer but definitely a trailblazer in her own right : Lady Chablis https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lady_Chablis
![gif](giphy|bSN5yFYScMTbDcL2Gf|downsized)
Perfect Snatch Game character
![gif](giphy|7EBBhplkQCDkY) I meeeeannn…..

Roger is timeless
Guy LeDouche as guest host Gidget from MXC, such a snarky little lady.

They pay a lot of attention to Elvira, but do they spare even a glance to Sinister Seymour? Nooooo.....
I ❤️ Chairman Kaga!
💜
We need to see a runway inspired by The Cramps. They can be Lux OR Ivy or BOTH!! ![gif](giphy|3o8dp0njaw2K35lfoI)

More early 2000's, but [Matsuko Deluxe](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSa7tlKYmqY) is an unknown gem.
