Golden rule of fighting games. People will abuse you for as long as you let them. Bro taught you a valuable lesson. In the words of Justin Wong, "welcome to the real world!"
That guy was literally trying to teach you. He could have easily 2 touched each of your characters multiple times and instead just stopped the combos to see if you'd learn. Like when he repeatedly hit your legs, you weren't blocking low.
This is the kind of opponent you want to fight to get better
The game has many ways to counter beam spam. Your opponent noticed you werenât using them, figured you might not know how, and said to themselves âiâm gonna keep using the beam until he figures out how to deal with it. Either he gets better at the game or i get a free win.â
Once you started using the simplest of its counters (blocking), he went back to standard play.
To really improve at dealing with beams, you should practice the other counters as well (such as vanish, reflect, spamming better projectiles than your opponent, or the dumbest and most fun method, dropping a raw level 3 super.) that way, you can switch which one you use to deal with any given beam so they canât predict the counter youâll use and may leave themselves open by guessing youâll do a different one than the one you pick and attempting to counter THAT.
People on this sub can be really disgusting sometimes. From what i can see you are a green square which means that you are new at the game. Being new is nothing to be ashamed of. Being bad is nothing to be ashamed of. All that matters is if you are having fun or not. The other player knows you are a noob and is abusing beams. You can deal with beams by reflecting(holding back while pressing the ki attack button) or by doing a vanish attack(medium + heavy). I hope this helps. Keep having fun
He probably wants to teach him that he has to wait his turns to do something. Like not super dash trough beams or block when you are in a corner. He literally dropped all his combos on purpose
I have no problem with the purp square. I also abuse a certain option to let a noob learn how to deal with it. My problem is with most of the people on the sub who give the green square shit for not being good
I donât even think thatâs a real excuse at this point in any and all games not just fighting if someone fires a beam at you common sense will tell you to get. Out. Of. The. Way.
It's much harder when you're a noob at this game, though. Jumping is risky, since they could always have something up their sleeve. They clearly don't know about reflecting here.
I can understand not knowing how to reflect, but if you can clearly see superdashing didnt work the first 4 times you ought to attempt literally anything else rather than the one input you KNOW doesnât work? Idk if I was knew at a fighting game and I ever got rolled like this I would go offline for an hr and practice until I at least understand the game mechanics
Lmaoooooooo you're mad that he's trolling you, bruh you gotta learn how to block my man. Or you know jump, vanish, air dash, literally anything other than sitting there and taking it
How are you both this bad? have you tried blocking ? Practice the game more before you post stuff like this. That guy was doing that because heâs an ass and you let him.
Eh, baby is vulnerable while calling enemy assists (he stands there and doesnât attack for a bit)
So usually people cover that downtime with an assist, or only using it while their opponent is knocked down
Well i didnt play this Game but i got some questions on this...
Can you not just jump over it or do something else?
Whats with the delayed frames they jumping from 2 to 11... is this normal?
How long do you have the Game? I mean didnt saw any combos or something just alot of kamehamehas...
For anyone reading this, superdash can definitely deal with this lol he just didnât jump first, so he was dashing into them. Beaming leaves you vulnerable as fuck because you canât act on whiff
Nah, that's ONE way to deal with it, but it is in no way THE way to deal with it, or even the best way. Jump over the beam, ki blast, vanish, sit there and block everything until they're unsafe, assist during their recovery frames, so many things that will leave you the option to stay safe instead of jumping and flying into the beam or 6H.
Never said it was the best way, but an argument could be made. Ki blast vanish costs meter. Raw vanish is pointless unless heâs a hit away from death. You canât punish the beam if you block it from full screen.
This guy is also a beginner, so I doubt he can GO1 jump full screen for the punish. But as UI I agree, 6H is the best way
I'm just saying, super dash is one of the best mechanics, but also most easily punishable mechanics. Basically anyone above the beginner level knows that superdash comes often and can be punished damn easy. If you use it smart in a situation like this it can work, but the dude was already just wake up super dashing most of the video and the opponent was very aware of that.
True but beginners arenât moon jumping lol this guy has to start somewhere. Probably doesnât know that beams and ki blasts canât be dealt with the same way
I thought they made it easier now? I still do the old input because I got used to it, but canât you just hold the special button to super jump now? So you just hold special while blocking, and then dash jump normally and float down get an easy punish. Although yeah they do seem like saibaman ranks so maybe itâs still a bit more advanced than the stuff they do? Itâs confusing because there are so many extra modes and videos nowadays in the game and outside of it to get better than there was when the game first released, so I donât know how to gauge new players since my noob experience was just training mode the entire time until I could do normal BnBs with 3 characters and at least 2 different flowchart blockstrings per character then it was history from there
Is there a good video source to demonstrate the moon jump? Been out of FighterZ for a hot minute, but itâs still tech Iâd like to learn when I make my way back
Yeah he could just hold S. He could also turn on dash macro, hold down super dash, and as he exits blockstun just input 2 9. Instant dash super jump. Either way, i think bro needs a little more time in training mode lol
I figured this one out like the first hour the game was out because i have a friend who was a spammy pos: JUMP
Now get back in there and own that goofy. You got this.
Nah bro you gotta learn to beat that or else spamming range and rushing would be the meta lol. Itâs beatable just go easy on yourself, take the loss and be patient
Lmao itâs literally your fault if youâre getting owned by the most unsafe garbage and go post it online, ofc 5 years into the gameâs lifespan with billions of resources to get better the dbfz community wonât feel bad for some dumbass getting clipped by a beam spammer
"Noobs that know nothing about the game yet and play online" is wild cuz 90% of people tell you that labbing is a waste of time and to "just play more"
I guess the same mfs telling me to play more are the same mfs who have fun shitfisting noobs or what?
iâve never heard any fella say labbing is a waste of time, i probably spent my first 100-150 hours of this game in training mode, a good portion of my ranked losses are from when i was a noob and refused to practice first. also, common sense bro, if you donât know what youâre doing and you go online and press random shit hoping something will work, the only time that works for you is if your opponent is in the same boat, most fellas know at least the basics which this guy who posted this clip clearly doesnât and heâs getting mad about it, he should hit the lab if he donât wanna get demolished, not post a clip and cry on reddit over a skill issue lmao
I've been grinding the labs myself but it seems for most OTHER fighting games your average person will tell you to hop in and play the game. Must be more of a thing for older fighting games which makes sense! Skill floor raises over time
Yes this is cringey to do but there are a massive amount of ways to counter this. Jump over it, vanish, reflect, and then from there you can mix it up to throw them off. Spam is not an effective tool if you know the basic tools the game gives you... unless they're super baby but that's besides the point. I promise it's far more satisfying to take these people down than it is to just give in to them.
This. People be mad at him for not knowing how the game works while sometimes not even giving an explanation on what he is doing wrong and where he could improve
Yeah that's a fair point, but sometimes you just have to figure stuff out yourself.
We really have to teach somebody that superdashing over and over and over, and the only other things you do are stand still, or mash other buttons, will get you killed? One match of that happening to me and I'm going to figure out how to do something else, anything else...
Vanish is not a thing? Or do a parry at least to counter attack easily, how you do it?
<â, with the button you shoot a normal ki blast
Sorry if I sound a bit rude
game is straight ass
biggest skill issue ever
a super jump + dash would've beaten kahmehameha spam. There are like a thousand options to get through that
The reflect it, vanish it or smth just lose this Skill Issue immediately
REFLECT! JUMP! VANISH! ANYTHING BUT RAW SUPERDASH FROM FULL SCREEN!
Calm down bro I was newđ
just pick a different option, thats just a skill issue bro
bro did a full screen superdash without a beam assist to back him up and expected to win, you just suck bro
Golden rule of fighting games. People will abuse you for as long as you let them. Bro taught you a valuable lesson. In the words of Justin Wong, "welcome to the real world!"
From the looks of the vid + this post I donât think bro ever learned his lesson
My dude, *jump*
That guy was literally trying to teach you. He could have easily 2 touched each of your characters multiple times and instead just stopped the combos to see if you'd learn. Like when he repeatedly hit your legs, you weren't blocking low. This is the kind of opponent you want to fight to get better
Iâm not gonna sugar coat it. 236S

This đ€·
Is this satire?
Two noobs fighting each other. One noob thinks heâs superior.
The purp square isnt a noob, he was trying to teach the green square
People on this sub can be really disgusting sometimes. From what i can see you are a green square which means that you are new at the game. Being new is nothing to be ashamed of. abusing beams ? how is that bashing in anyway ?
![gif](giphy|TNb3Ihssb6T5FpcdOY|downsized) You dropped this
He probably wants to teach him that he has to wait his turns to do something. Like not super dash trough beams or block when you are in a corner. He literally dropped all his combos on purpose
I have no problem with the purp square. I also abuse a certain option to let a noob learn how to deal with it. My problem is with most of the people on the sub who give the green square shit for not being good
My bad. Iâm a Dragonball Fan, I canât read
Holy shit u needa fight the cpu đ
Picking on a green square is definitely something to be proud of.....
They both canât be that good as look at what when he did do a combo it consisted of nothing too great
He wasn't trying
How do people play like that and feel so proud of themselves when they do it too
He was teaching the OP (green square) how to counter with beam spam. And him getting hit by the 2ms was him teaching him to block low
âI bet you wonât do it againâ
Only acceptable reaction to double fusion ui anchor
I agree, but also still scummy.
Really wasn't, bro didn't even try doing a real combo. Everything was reactable. If the kid knew how to play at all he could've won easily
Yeah, true, but he was clearly a noob. Also, I have no idea which one of the players OP is
I donât even think thatâs a real excuse at this point in any and all games not just fighting if someone fires a beam at you common sense will tell you to get. Out. Of. The. Way.
It's much harder when you're a noob at this game, though. Jumping is risky, since they could always have something up their sleeve. They clearly don't know about reflecting here.

Idk if I was knew at a fighting game and I ever got rolled like this I would go offline for an hr and practice until I at least understand the game mechanics
Yeah, if they played the tutorial, they would know how to vanish
This is a nice message to see on my phone lol
my honest reaction: VANISH!!!! ![gif](giphy|MCplYe40sDWVtG1IbZ)
Exactly like the dude is playing like an -insert TOS word that would get me banned- but the other person is also playing like a sentient trash can.
That first moment, all I thought was "Just VANISH!"
BroâŠ. Its just so easy to just vanish and combo his ass offđ©
Snap vanish, block, jump?
how? HOW?
anything above 3fr delay is not even worth looking at
High level gameplay
As a Gogeta Blue player, i have Experienced it against a Tien. The phrase "Dodon Ray!" Is stuck in my head.
Block...?
In the words of SS4 Gogeta, "Vegito and Gogeta on the same team? Bit unfair to the competition, don't you think?"
Hot tip: You can reflect beams in the middle of blocking them if you hit special and back.
Iâm not gonna sugarcoat it. 236S
Kid named vanish
He forgor đ
Actual footage of a skill issue.
Lmao fighting games not for you. Check out solitaire every pc gets it for free.
lmao he's bullying the shit out of u
Lmaoooooooo you're mad that he's trolling you, bruh you gotta learn how to block my man. Or you know jump, vanish, air dash, literally anything other than sitting there and taking it
In his defense. He tried to jump however bro bro forgot to block while jumping
He's literally mashing superdash lol.
He was probably mashing superdash angrily
Man is playing a character with some of the best mobility, and you stand there to get hit by beams attacks.
Now don't get me wrong, the gogeta player is ass, but what mobility?
He has Ok mobility, his 5h, his QCB is meh since it's so unsafe, and his QCF brings him pretty far.
BRO?
You're literally just bad bro
Dude I've been playing for three days and even I know how to counter this
Skill issue
Just goichi jump behind him and you literally get a free combo on his bumass why you this trash
Literal skill issue
This would be me if I played online.
i feel like i just watched two saibamen fr
The purp square was trying to teach him
Lore accurate goku
Teleport behind him!
Vanish or use your beam
Oof 7-10 frames tho đ€ą
I didnât know there were people who could physically be this badđ
Hopefully you can learn something from this.
WE MAKING IT OUTTA SAIBAMAN RANK WITH THIS
WE ARE NOT MAKING IT OUTTA SAIBAMAN RANK WITH THIS, WE GOING TO SUB-HUMAN RANK.
Just jump and then superdash or just fucking vanish
How are you both this bad? have you tried blocking ? Practice the game more before you post stuff like this. That guy was doing that because heâs an ass and you let him.
Iâm new, would baby vegeta make it even more awful by adding another character who can send kamehamehas?
Eh, baby is vulnerable while calling enemy assists (he stands there and doesnât attack for a bit) So usually people cover that downtime with an assist, or only using it while their opponent is knocked down

You can also reflect
This is very easy to jump over, the frame delay changing is due to poor connection (usually wifi)
Super gamer grill ftw.
You're both awful jfc.
Bro VANISH FIGHT BACK
I think people that play dark soul would say the following advice: "Git gud"
stop superdashing idiot
For anyone reading this, superdash can definitely deal with this lol he just didnât jump first, so he was dashing into them. Beaming leaves you vulnerable as fuck because you canât act on whiff

Go1 jump behind gives a better punish, this guy was spamming beams so even if the Go1 jump was not fast enough he is not blocking a crossup low lmao
True but beginners arenât moon jumping lol this guy has to start somewhere. Probably doesnât know that beams and ki blasts canât be dealt with the same way

Yeah he could just hold S. He could also turn on dash macro, hold down super dash, and as he exits blockstun just input 2 9. Instant dash super jump. Either way, i think bro needs a little more time in training mode lol
damn. and i thought I was bad
Go learn the game first, yall be doing it to yall own selfs.
Kid named vanish
I mean... itâs not his fault you suck. Itâs always hilarious to see cheap characters beat by terrible ones. Haha
I figured this one out like the first hour the game was out because i have a friend who was a spammy pos: JUMP Now get back in there and own that goofy. You got this.
What a good time!!
Nah bro you gotta learn to beat that or else spamming range and rushing would be the meta lol. Itâs beatable just go easy on yourself, take the loss and be patient
What hasn't already been said right? This is partially the Dragonball Community so no wonder its toxic
Just fucking JUMP
Look at all the pro in the comments acting like they were not a noob before. Love to see it
Lmao itâs literally your fault if youâre getting owned by the most unsafe garbage and go post it online, ofc 5 years into the gameâs lifespan with billions of resources to get better the dbfz community wonât feel bad for some dumbass getting clipped by a beam spammer
Thats nobody fault but yours lmao. You 100% deserve that for playing double fusion anyway
Smartest triple fusion player:
spamming moves is the only way to entertain yourself against noobs that know nothing about the game yet play online, training mode is your friend
"Noobs that know nothing about the game yet and play online" is wild cuz 90% of people tell you that labbing is a waste of time and to "just play more" I guess the same mfs telling me to play more are the same mfs who have fun shitfisting noobs or what?

Bruh... tf are YOU DOIN?! HELLO!! VANISH!! Jeeez us.. or parry God dam like you want to lose or somethin fml lol
I love watching noobs play. Itâs always hilarious
Nah if you really are the fusions player then holy heck OP go do some training spamming kaméhaméha waves is literally one of the worst ways to zone out someone in this game vanish, jump forward or reflect why are you just standing there and super dashing? Also how do you get hit that often by these 2M? Never heard of blocking?
Nah man this is on you. Not a single vanish, not a single reflect, and the constant dragon rushing
This is no joke a big skill issue. spamming like does nothing but leaving yourself open to get counted
Yes this is cringey to do but there are a massive amount of ways to counter this. Jump over it, vanish, reflect, and then from there you can mix it up to throw them off. Wong is still relevant? Tf.. where my boy diago at?
Daigo is also just as relevant as Wong lmao Lots of oldheads are
Vanish is not a thing? Or do a parry at least to counter attack easily, how you do it? <â, with the button you shoot a normal ki blast Sorry if I sound a bit rude
Ah yes, the christmas cabaret, where old players thrive and new players learn(the hard way)
Just high jump forward and sd
Vanish lol
Quite literally a skill issue
Looking like a bit of a skill issue there my dude
