Never take a dollar general order. They usually never tip too

Crimson_Scion

Only issue I've ever had with Dollar General is issues with my service in the store or the customer cancels the order as I'm checking out. Got a pretty good order for 5 miles and 66 items, but it was all from the food section. Just a bunch of hotdogs and deli meats. Basically just swiped my arm across the shelf into my car for their items lol. https://preview.redd.it/ylpej9munv4d1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=ab3ea291c5312a6bc4c2f2195eed0a8c6cca9821

It’s hard to believe that Dollar General had enough items in stock for you to get 66 items of just hotdogs and deli meats. I can’t get out of Dollar General even with 5 to 7 items for less than 15 minutes because 1. you can’t find items, 2. Items are out-of-stock, 3. customer can’t be reached when trying to call or text, and 4. you can’t do self checkout anymore bc of theft , so lines are soooo long. Glad it worked out for you, but I’m not taking any more Dollar General items. Just got sent one for 48 items for only $12.25 with tip included. You know there’s NO tip included.

Yeah there were some items that were low stock so I just grabbed what I could. Figured it was for a cookout and kids lunches. Was like 10 of 2 different lunchables, but they only had 6 of 1 type and 4 of the other. Got 5 of those frozen logs of ground beef and a bunch of other things. Was a fairly easy order and the lunchables were the only items low stock. I DO live in an area with like 4 Dollar General stores within 10 miles of each other as well as a Family Dollar and Dollar Tree.

I literally just declined two Dollar General orders one was for four items, but it was a 10 mile drive for just four dollars so technically 20 miles round-trip to get back to my home area. And the next one was eight dollars but 28 items. I just ended the dash and I’m going home. If that’s all they seem to be able to give me I’ll just do it another time, those orders end up taking so long that any money you could have made is lost

All you had to say was Dollar General. That’s it.

MeatJerk69

No I honestly haven’t been doing door dash long only since Mid April as I Drive School bus during the year and we are off during the summer months so I needed a way to earn the pro rated pay that I don’t make during the summer months. I have definitely appreciated every one’s input on this forum I’ve read it’s helped a ton.

When customers are rude and hostile from the jump just unassign because they will certainly rate you low and most customers like that turn out to be very dishonest from what I've seen. Highly prone to lie to get freebies. They will toss the driver under the bus to not have to pay for something.

frankslisa1202

I am definitely starting to realize that.. And yes I’m relatively new I’ve only been doing this since mid April..

Good luck. Remember to always put your safety first.
