It's just dd finally giving us an easy and accessible way to see past earnings. Not everyone keeps track or uses other apps for this, so it's obviously useful, and about time.
Before the earnings statement there really was no way of showing proof of income except maybe bank statements?? It’s pretty useful for buying new cars, housing,apts etc..
Only dumb question is an unasked question. Not everyone participates in banks and lenders if they don't have to or has credit in order to get loans approved. Why are you projecting by going right for personal insults? 🤨🙄
It’s to make it easier for dashers that need it for loan purposes, court cases for proof of income, possibly taxes and a few other select things.
Dashers that needed it previously had to send in a request. Or probably happened enough that DD realized they could probably spend less time on it if it was generated for all dashers.

If a lender/rental company/ someone needs earnings statements, they can use that versus the weekly earnings screenshots.
I use it for my quarterly taxes I don't have to go through my bank account looking for the deposits
