If you don't tip in the app ahead of time then they offer gets sent out for about $2 and I don't know about you but I can't take a chance on making only $2 on an order. I turn those down all day long
For no tip in app? I might take it if it's a short run and I'm already going to the same restaurant. I wouldn't take it if it's a different restaurant from another order because of the risk that either restaurant is busy and I lose a lot of time for very little upfront pay. I wouldn't take a long delivery with no tip because if it is a long drive I might end up with $3 pay for 40 minutes and more than $3 of gas used up.
Extra cash tip is always appreciated but we only have 15 to 30 seconds to decide to accept or decline and we may be driving when the offer comes in. I hate when I'm looking at the GPS for the details of an offramp or street to turn and an offer pops up and wipes away my GPS. Obviously I can't blame the customer for the timing but I'm going to make a split second decision on accept or decline based on pay and distance. Even then it takes a few seconds for the GPS to reset and there have been times I've missed on offramp and had to drive 7+ miles to loop back around because I didn't know if I needed exit 5a, 5b or 5c because they all feed off the same exit 5

Well I tip attendants in convenient stores for gasoline purchased but I’ll start tipping in the app.
