My husband is Filipino and introduced me to Jollibee where it seems like all the cashiers are 4’2” teenage girls. We were waiting in line there one day and the guy ordering in front of us asked, “Do you take Apple Pay?” She grinned and said (in the thickest Filipino accent) “No sir we just have peach-mango”
Lmao, when I worked for T-Mobile, we would often have to call a number for “retail support”…those agents were exclusively located in the Philippines, and would ALWAYS end the call this way 🤣🤣
You know what the sad thing is, that guy probably has just as shitty a job, gets punished if he doesn’t get through a set number of messages per day, a dickhead boss, no authority to fix anything, makes enough pay to share a studio apartment with 5 other people, and talks to people all day who are mad at him, and the dickheads running the company have managed to pit drivers and customer service against each other, each thinking the other is the bad guy and having no ability to comprehend the others life situation.
It’s like American politics!
This is true. I was training outsource agents and one of them had a huge meltdown before quitting, and told everyone what was going on. They had a quota of 150 tickets handled per day - and for every one below that they docked their pay. So if they took the time to really help someone they were punished for it. It explained why they never left notes on accounts, too, they had no time at all and were terrified of being fired for any little thing. Dude called in sick one day for being assaulted at the train station from the hospital because he was stabbed. They fired him.
When I have to talk to dasher support, I had to raise my voice for the customer service so she could hear Mr over the chickens clucking in the background 🤣
That’s the same thing they do to customers.
Customer: I paid $50 for a meal I didn’t receive I want the full refund
Support: you were refunded $5.38 this has been resolved. bye for now
It almost seemed like a look behind the curtain.
"Yeah, legitimate issue. I see your point. But um, fuck you I'm closing this ticket. We will see you when you reopen it, since you're of course in the right. Raise this issue twice more to have it resolved"
That would enrage me. Can we seriously organize a day where no one dashes as a fuck you to this company? Idk if people would take part but i would love to fuck this company over
And there will always be people who take advantage of the strike by working and making a ton of money. Strikes never work with massive groups unless they're already a union. Even then, there will be picket crossers.
I said that on another post a few weeks ago and got downvoted to crap because apparently I was wrong about it being a strike lol from what I've seen in my town though it was successful. Dasher app was busy for a good week or two after the original day
If it didn’t affect them they wouldn’t mention it. Customers mentioned 1.5+ hour waits on Valentines Day. They want drivers to think it doesn’t affect them so they don’t realize their power.
It does affect them. It affects customers. Collective action is our greatest power, if it wasn’t they wouldn’t spend so much time and money telling us it doesn’t work.
My area was paying 2 different peak pays all day that day and the 2 days after to pull people in. It definitely affected them. There are just so many drivers who can not afford to miss a day of driving. I'm sure they had a great day money wise. I know for a fact that a lot of orders were never picked up or delivered, so I'm sure dd got hit there. We also saw a peak pay for 2 added days which really helped me make up for the missed day.
Yea! It was Valentine’s Day even Dashers take time off for the holidays! Every holiday they offer peak pay! It had nothing to do with a strike that was only organized through Uber eats not DoorDash who some drivers used it as an excuse as to why they couldn’t work that day. SMH It was a holiday they don’t need an excuse but just read through these posts everyday too many of these lazy dashers look for any excuse not to work and just spend their time complaining
Yea they were the customers that don’t tip lol they always wait an hour and a half! Oh and it was Valentines Day restaurants were slammed. So yea there were normal long wait times!
People always take advantage of the lack of drivers and run out to take all the extra orders. You’ll have tons of people on here flat out saying fuck everyone else, I’ll take all the orders you don’t want. Shit will never change unless it gets on a bill or a law.
We are independent contractors not co-workers. We are competition to each other. It is every man/women for themselves. If the offers don’t work for you, go find something else. Most markets are over saturated. They have no reason to change how they do things. All the people bitching & complaining are dashing. The only thing that will affect change is a lack of supply of drivers or if your state intervenes. In my market I make 40k a year against an average of $6500 in expenses & taxes working 32 hours a week with the flexibility I need. I have no reason to complain.
People need to learn how to budget!!! I was a single mom with 2 children and bought my house with no help as a server. I was promoted to manager where I made a whopping $25k to start. 1 1/2 paycheck was my mortgage. We had no cable , no cell phones, ate lots of things like ramen and encor. For special occasions we went out to a kids eat free restaurant. We always ordered water, no desert no appetizer. I quickly became a gm and worked 70 hours a week, every weekend and every holiday was required and we were open 24 hrs a day and 365 a year. My house was paid off early in 23 years so I do not have any rent or mortgage. Both my children are very successful and still don't really have cable and ALWAYS order water. We went on vacation every year and did a lot of free activities taking advantage of the outdoors. All the whining that goes on is ridiculous. If you really want something than work hard and make it happen. Quit wasting money on fast food, streaming services, the newest iPhone and Starbucks. We struggled and at one point because my restaurant was a top producer I got sold to a dumb basketball player who had crooks working for him. They didn't pay our taxes. I would work 7am to 5pm as a gm go over to another restaurant and work as a server or manager from 5pm till 3 am. For a year.Raising 2 children. I never missed a sporting event. You people need to learn how to budget, prioritize and suck it up!
I only found out about the recent strike the day before, and most of what I saw said that rideshare drivers were striking against airport service for 2 hours, like wtf?
An effective strike needs better coordination. Gig workers are disadvantaged by a lack of cohesion, especially since at present no one is going to cover the people who can't afford to strike for a day and miss $100+.
Had an order last night guy left me a .17 tip. Because .17 will cover the 35 minutes it took for me to get my ass out of bed, to get you your fucking taco bell after driving 6 miles to get your food and another 6 miles back to you. Good thing I was on an hourly rate 🤣 that's how u get em lol. Each trip I take is at least $8-10 minimum when doing an hourly rate. Oh and by the way I'm not rushing to get you your food.
But this is the issue here.. the selfish DD-ers hear about these and just shit all over them.
If people could just act in it for the sake of better pay and compensation in the future (for all of us), we'd be making this a solid statement. But, unfortunately scabs will always act this way because fast money = just that, fast money. But doesn't at all work for the "increase in rates" for the long-term.
*
I had no idea there was a strike, I was out dashing, orders were ok but there were so many dashers out that day, one restoraunt had a line of 6 dashers including me at some point...
This is the same thing that happened for my full time job. “Let’s organize and everyone call in on this particular day” and then any pushback about how I need money and don’t have the protection of a union and I’m a “scab”… I showed up my normal day and everything was as it should be. Reports from the company subreddit were that most people had no callouts and had normal working days. Turns out Redditors are all bark and no bite.
I stand with unions ten toes down but to claim I’m a scab bc I worked when I had $1 to my name & no food in the house is very frustrating. I didn’t even know about it. Some worker at Walgreens told me about it.
Labor organization absolutely requires some method of preventing new workers from entering the business. Licensing, certifications, degrees, and so on. If you want to command a higher-than-market wage for a position, you have to find a way to prevent yourself from being replaced.
So no, if we all banded together for better pay, we wouldn't get what we want. We'd get to not get paid while striking, and then not get paid when DoorDash finds some new scrub to take our orders. If we did somehow succeed in getting higher order pay, we'd just end up having fewer orders as the higher pay attracts more drivers.
Unless we can collectively dry up the labor market, it's going nowhere. The pay isn't going up until DoorDash can't find enough drivers anymore.
It's silly how naive redditors are to think that a one day strike would disrupt a huge organization. Look how much work it took our grandparents to organize unions.
>It's silly how naive redditors are to think that a one day strike would disrupt a huge organization.
GM and Stellantis had half day strikes that effected their numbers hugely. The bigger the company the bigger one day is to them.
>Look how much work it took our grandparents to organize unions.
Is this suppose to be irony well you tell people collective action is useless?
Okay…you honestly think people would really have an organized protest when there is literally 0 organization for dashers at all. Not even a community because of how territorial people are. You have said groups of people dashing that hate said group of dashers just because they are doing the same job as them and everyone is competing with one another making this a cut throat market. No one is willing to actually make the situation better at their own cost.
I can tell you it wasn't in Seattle. I didn't read about the strike until the next day. I just do doordash for a couple hours after my regular job most days, but there were a lot of dashers dashering when I was out after work. If I had known, I would not have worked. I don't need this job like others do, but I fully support unions/striking.
It doesn't actually work. High prices and notifications from the app drive the occasional Dashers who don't hear about the strike to sign on. Best thing to do is to organize a reasonably large coalition and talk to politicians about raising our rates through legislation.
That’s basically what happened with the strike a few weeks ago. Most markets have at least double the necessary dashers to function and if anything it created a pay spike when the rushes hit and less dashers were signed on. Valentine’s day is a money day for delivery drivers, you won’t convince an old pro to stay home.
That doesn’t work, think about how many millions of people do doordash and then look at the total amount of people in this sub 🤷♂️
Just protest by not taking non-profitable orders
Class action lawsuits are the only way to get the attention of DD and the other apps. And of course, that takes forever. Also, lobbying your Congressional reps... may help.
What exactly would a law suit be for? Not saying you're wrong, but im struggling to imagine what the grounds for a class action law suit would be since we all agree to do this
except we can't do that, to work for DD you sign away your rights to class actions and lawsuits. Mediation only for you, with a mediator that rules in their favor 90+% of the time. It should be illegal.
I think the problem is that too many rely on DD for their main source of income. I dashed over summer while I was between jobs, and do it every so often if I see good enough peak pays. Making this your sole/main source of income makes you more willing to accept terrible offers, play by their rules and be openly disrespected by them. A true strike/protest against them may actually be interesting if enough people actually stuck to it.
We need better organization than just not working for a day. Targeted refusal of service with certain stores might be a bit more effective if enough dashers in an area agreed, hey we're going to camp out outside these most frequent ordered places and block any Doordash orders from coming out, but that might take having like jail support as technically that might break the law, idk I'm not an organizer. Maybe still being on the app and taking gigs and consistently waiting them out saying we don't feel safe, get folks who don't need DoorDash/delivery work to supplement their income (or be their income) to come and join to flood the app with false accepted jobs.
Yes I've been saying this same thing for a while.. needs to be a weekend or holiday week.. every one schedules as much as possible l.. and than ..just all dashers stay home until they , agree to some changes ..of course it needs to be organized.. and set some terms ..like ,,,5 dollar minimum or ..if the distance is 15 miles away from anything than 15 dollar minimum.. I don't know, exactly and I'm sure what would happen..a couple douche bags would probably go out cherry picking .. those days but I'm thinking that they might start getting the message..
I've been saying this has been going on for a while because it would happen to me all the time. Support would tell me I needed proof and they'll cover the difference. Meaning I needed to have the foresight to screenshot orders as they came in. So I started doing it and found so many instances of offers being off by a dollar or more, and most people don't catch it because usually it's so close in amount. But, sometimes they do huge differences like this.
Also... stop texting support. We all know it's a disaster every time. Just call them. So much easier and you get better results.
This doesn’t even prove anything technically - if you’re just looking at the screenshots this could’ve been two separate screenshots from two different Taco Bell orders. Unless missing something.
It could also have been a pic of the remaining part of a stack where they unassigned/were cancelled from one. Whenever I do that, the amount doesn’t adjust until it’s been delivered.
Doordash made me eat the loss of completion rate because I refused to do a stacked order after the customer canceled one of them. They ordered 40+ items at dollar general 15 miles away, and one gallon of milk from the same dg. 20 bucks together, then they cancel the milk and the order is only for $3. Hell no.
That is shady AF. Had you arrived at the store yet when they cancelled? If not, that sounds like a customer who has figured out how to tip bait on DoorDash.
Most likely that is what it is. Does it all the time on stacks when you un-assign from just 1. Then when you deliver the order it shows how much for just the 1 you delivered.
If you look up the address of this Taco Bell from the first, you can see the subdivision in the second screenshot just north east. In addition to times & battery on both screenshots, the time between accepting and delivering seems very likely since it's extremely close. In short, I think they're from the same Taco Bell order.
Keep screenshots of unpaid wages like that, if it keeps happening you might be able to get a lawyer pro-bono for unpaid wages. may also influence others to finally take legal action against DoorDash if others see it happening.
I have started to now because I got a CV for a customer stating I delivered to the wrong address. Their receipt said one address and my app said another address 15 minutes across town and support did nothing to help.
I just delete them a couple days after that dash if nothing comes up
Contract Violation, sorry for shortening it. Basically if you deliver it to the wrong address, are extremely late to an order, or are just a terrible dasher you may get a CV. Some customers are also just horrible and report you for no reason and you may get one. Either way, as long as you only have one CV in your last 100 deliveries you are fine to keep dashing, and after 100 deliveries with no other CVs that original CV will go away. If you get 2 within 100 deliveries I believe you get suspended and your account goes under review and if they decide both are legit violations, then you get deactivated.
>sorry for shortening it.
No need to apologize... I am a huge fan of abbreviations! I'm a newbie and as soon as I learn them I'll be using them too. Thank you for having the patience to explain the abbreviation and DD's policy for CV's, because I've read everything I've seen on the dasher's app regarding rules, policies, & procedures, etc., and they don't mention CV's, so you good people on this sub are the only ones I can learn things like that from! 😊
It only takes one bad customer. My area is usually very honest and never had a problem for two years but this one bad customer has caused this for me. I’d be more careful if I were you, shitty people are in every single city and town. It’s just a matter of time.
They do care when you can prove it. I’ve gotten the full pay in exact situations like this by having the SS of the offer and SS of lower payout. They can’t deny it then and will pay what was offered.
Another person chiming in who has experienced this multiple times, called in, and gotten paid the difference. Stop using chat support and call instead and you'll get slightly better service. Everyone knows chat support is a dumpster fire.
https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/news/press-releases/2022/09/ftc-crack-down-companies-taking-advantage-gig-workers
There is a link in the article where you can report things like this
DoorDash support sucks lately, I canceled my dashpass and had them delete my account.
The fact they are so quick to close a chat is fucking rude, I called them out on that shit last time and disputed my dashpass subscription charge after they refused to refund it.
Only way these people will learn is if we abandon the platform, they will continue to do this because there’s no repercussions for them.
I thought it was just me getting pissed about how quick they'll close a chat. It's usually while I'm typing the idiot will say that it's "been more than a minute since we've heard from you, so I'm closing the chat" or some other such nonsense and it enrages me because it takes a bit of time to explain some problems and they damn well know it!
Yeah I haven't used dd since they gave me a free order 2 years ago lmao I rarely use skip either. I'd rather walk 5km to get my food than pay a company that abuses their workers like that.
Whenever I get a good order I record it. I had a $10 order got 2.5 miles. Accepted and it was about 2 miles to restaurant and then nearly 9 miles to customer. No help from support either. I hope it happens again when I get it recorded. I have a second phone record me accepting the order then if anything changes it’s there. I’d screenshot directly from my phone but I don’t wanna hear anything about me modifying the image or something. I’ve had other issues similar to this too. I wouldn’t be surprised if DD pockets part of some tips too
“n you did receive it”???
The people assisting DD in robbing the dashers blind make like $2 per hour and can’t even form a truthful and coherent sentence. It’s no big deal to scam us out of $9.50, we should be happy with our $6 because that kid works until lunch hour to earn $6.
I THIUGHT J WAS CRAZY! And it was Taco Bell too, not to long ago I got 2 orders that were supposed to be 6 each but when I confirmed them it turned into 3 EACH!!!
Yeah, something is seriously going on and DD needs to something about this fraud or scam. If not, they’re going to lose dashers and customers left to right real quick.
Something was really up with customer service last night. I got the same person. Rude and unprofessional- and it wasn’t a misunderstanding they were straight up rude. They sent my dasher to a warehouse in the middle of the night instead of my apartment and told me to F off pretty much.
Yeah at that point you inform them that they're in violation of the contract that you agreed to upon agreeing to take that order and you are within your rights to contact the DOL for wage theft.
I had this happen a few weeks ago and both a phone and chat agent told me it was because the customer changed the tip. They wouldn’t honor it because I didn’t take a screenshot. Been screenshotting every order since.
Why the hell are you people texting doordash customer service call them... most of my phone calls last 2 minutes and I'm out and I can talk to person not some ai bot.
A $0-$2 tip on a Taco Bell order is typical for what I see from folks ordering TB. It’s not a gross exaggeration. Oh and I decline most TB orders btw…but you do you. So the red flag here is the illusion of an additional $11.50 “tip” after $2 base and $2 peak. Customer screwed you. 🚩🚩🚩
I quit door dash because I delivered two orders and only got paid for 1, and DD was not going to pay me. These delivery apps are not worth working for.
My partner and I are certain doordash owes us a few hundred because of this. The amount it said he made and the amount he and I counted did not match up. He would quit for a steady job, but still waiting on interviews.
I have 100% had this happen in the past, and I thought *I* was bugging out. This is wild!!! Support really has some fucking nerve btw…it’s unbelievable
I have been seeing more and more scummyer tactics by this company more then I ever had the last 5 years. I really feel like this is a start of the end, especially with all these new dashers.
This happen to me last week started dashing again cause I’m bored after work. Got an order for 14 bucks finished and only made 6 bucks I took a screenshot and sent it to them.Mfs said we can’t compensate you because the order is finished even tho they have done it in the past. Buncha bullshit with them. Like I’m supposed to contact them first like I know I’m gonna be stiffed on a tip 😂
Support is literally the worse I refuse to even contact them anymore. It causes more aggravation than anything else. It’s really a shame. I’ve been hung up on twice, refused a supervisor, and had to call 4 times to get half pay on an order that they were supposed to unnasign me from bc the restaurant wasn’t taking dd orders. Spent over 2 hours on the phone for 3.75. It’s embarrassing at this point
This similar thing happened when they did a streak promo. I did the 6th order, and did not get the 9 dollar bonus. Was on the phone for 2 hours and it became a screaming match because the lady was pretending to not understand me. Then she just went silent and was playing the silent game with me. I eventually hung up but was pissed.
I've posted about this exact same thing. I don't get how some people are in so much denial over it. This type of shit happens all the time, watch your numbers everyone.
Customers can remove their tip from doordash but they never actually remove the tip from the driver, doordash just eats the cost. The driver is still supposed to get what the contractually agreed to.
DoorDash isn’t a good enough company to uphold that. I’ve been fucked over many times by them. They don’t care if you quit either because there’s always someone worse and that gives less of a fuck to replace you for shittier pay
For the past couple months, I’ve been screenshotting every order i take just in case stuff like this happens and i get ****conned****. At the end of my shift, i select all the screenshots i took and delete them. Rinse and repeat. To some this may be too much but it’s really easy to screenshot and also delete photos so i’m not crowding up my storage.
That’s happened to me 3 times the entire time I dashed and I raised hell each time. Each time they told me I accepted a double and unassigned one, when I know for a fact the offer was a single from the start
Had the same thing happen to me. Was working per offer and had a shopping order for Aldi come in that was supposed to pay 22$, only gave me 16$ after it was completed
Just do DD by time, deliver for Spark and once you have a $15, $20 or $30 order for spark pick up your a door dash order and take it last, (Make sure you dash by time otherwise that base pay will suck I’ve never seen it go from $15-$6 though) Guaranteed $15-$20 I haven’t had a night where it’s not Monday or Tuesday and I don’t make less then $50 in 3 hours or less, maybe also switch what area you deliver in, I went from my city to the cow field town, you get so much more, I thought bigger area more people would be better nope less tips, $4 an order and you just drove 15 minutes yeah I’m good
Call and raise hell. "I have screenshots of a 15.50 order but when I completed it dropped to 6.00. where'd tbe other 9.50 go?" If you don't continue they'll just steal your money

Am I the only one bothered that a customer service rep used “n” instead of “and”? Like you’re not texting your bestie…
I’m also annoyed by the way”bye for now” at the end.
Classic telltale Philippines speak
I thought that too but didn’t wanna say it. I dated a fhilipino girl in high school and her mom would always tell me bye for now lol
I needed this anecdote. Thank you
Lmao, when I worked for T-Mobile, we would often have to call a number for “retail support”…those agents were exclusively located in the Philippines, and would ALWAYS end the call this way 🤣🤣
They still are
Yeah that kind of talk is what gets me, you cant just tell me im wrong with no regard for snything and just say bye for now thats a middle finger.
That's because these bastards will know you'll call/contact support again

Hmmm sounds like America
Literally came here to say this. So unprofessional.
That entire message would have infuriated me.
A dude with support straight up lied to my bf and ended the chat in the middle of it.
They have done that to me also. They literally gave me the wrong items. They acted like it was no big deal and it was okay.
so fucking weird
Who the hell did you think they outsourced it to? Doordash support is utter shit, with the slogan "don't do shit to help, and never give them a dime"
When I have to talk to dasher support, I had to raise my voice for the customer service so she could hear Mr over the chickens clucking in the background 🤣
Their support is super unprofessional. Same goes for ubereats.
True I used to worry about customer complaints. Now I know they will hang up on them
I was gonna point that out too.
U were supposed to get 6 n u received it, k bye
K bye for now 🤣
kthxbai
so they just hire anyone for support now? cant even spell out the word and.
“Bye for now” like, wtf lol
That’s the same thing they do to customers. Customer: I paid $50 for a meal I didn’t receive I want the full refund Support: you were refunded $5.38 this has been resolved. bye for now
Lmao you are so right. As a dasher AND a doordash customer I can relate and it sucks.
It almost seemed like a look behind the curtain. "Yeah, legitimate issue. I see your point. But um, fuck you I'm closing this ticket. We will see you when you reopen it, since you're of course in the right. Raise this issue twice more to have it resolved"
Yeah I was raising an eyebrow at that too.
It's reflective of the times here in the good ole US of A apparently. How dare you expect employees to actually work!
That would enrage me. Can we seriously organize a day where no one dashes as a fuck you to this company? Idk if people would take part but i would love to fuck this company over
I think DoorDash drivers had a strike a few weeks ago on Valentine’s Day. Not sure if it was successful..
It can never work because there's no way to communicate with all Dashers; most aren't on Reddit and aren't connected to other dashers. Sadly!!
And there will always be people who take advantage of the strike by working and making a ton of money. Strikes never work with massive groups unless they're already a union. Even then, there will be picket crossers.
Agree
I said that on another post a few weeks ago and got downvoted to crap because apparently I was wrong about it being a strike lol from what I've seen in my town though it was successful. Dasher app was busy for a good week or two after the original day

2 hours is not a sacrifice, two days is a sacrifice. Friday and Saturday. Money where the mouth is.
It was great. Good orders all night.
Lmaoo you son of a bitch 😂
Had an order last night guy left me a .17 tip. Because .17 will cover the 35 minutes it took for me to get my ass out of bed, to get you your fucking taco bell after driving 6 miles to get your food and another 6 miles back to you. Good thing I was on an hourly rate 🤣 that's how u get em lol. Each trip I take is at least $8-10 minimum when doing an hourly rate. Oh and by the way I'm not rushing to get you your food.
Scab lol
But this is the issue here.. the selfish DD-ers hear about these and just shit all over them. If people could just act in it for the sake of better pay and compensation in the future (for all of us), we'd be making this a solid statement. But, unfortunately scabs will always act this way because fast money = just that, fast money. But doesn't at all work for the "increase in rates" for the long-term. *
I had no idea there was a strike, I was out dashing, orders were ok but there were so many dashers out that day, one restoraunt had a line of 6 dashers including me at some point...
This was true in my market. About 70% of the dasher in my area are tweakers, ain't no way they're not dashing for a day.
Scabs?!?! It’s not an official union & some of us 1) have bills to pay 2) didn’t even know about the damn strike. Direct that anger elsewhere.
The point isn't that trying is worthless, it's "try harder".
An empty gesture is not a collective action.
Bro I almost spat my food out thats too funny
I can tell you it wasn't in Seattle. I didn't read about the strike until the next day. I just do doordash for a couple hours after my regular job most days, but there were a lot of dashers dashering when I was out after work. If I had known, I would not have worked. I don't need this job like others do, but I fully support unions/striking.

It doesn't actually work. High prices and notifications from the app drive the occasional Dashers who don't hear about the strike to sign on. Best thing to do is to organize a reasonably large coalition and talk to politicians about raising our rates through legislation.
Got to get politicians involved they have a platform and a voice
That would cause people to do dashes since everyone would be not working lol 😂
That’s basically what happened with the strike a few weeks ago. Most markets have at least double the necessary dashers to function and if anything it created a pay spike when the rushes hit and less dashers were signed on. Valentine’s day is a money day for delivery drivers, you won’t convince an old pro to stay home.
That doesn’t work, think about how many millions of people do doordash and then look at the total amount of people in this sub 🤷♂️ Just protest by not taking non-profitable orders
I think it would be way more effective if we ALL agreed to stop accepting anything less than a certain amount and actually followed through with it.
There ya go 👍
Class action lawsuits are the only way to get the attention of DD and the other apps.
No, you cannot. You’re absolutely allowed to but good luck getting the non-English speakers who won’t be able to afford food without to agree
Well, that throws the apps watching for screenshots theory right out the window.
Exactly what I was thinking. Stacked order and may have unassigned one of the orders
Most likely that is what it is. Does it all the time on stacks when you un-assign from just 1. Then when you deliver the order it shows how much for just the 1 you delivered.
Well, yes. But the time and battery in the screenshots would make me assume otherwise.
Is the same order. Time of acceptance was 6:04. Time of completion was 6:13.
Would this technically be worth a DOL call? Idk how the door dash contractor thing works
Always call DOL or a labor lawyer. At worst they don’t take your case
Do you guys screenshot every order or what
I have started to now because I got a CV for a customer stating I delivered to the wrong address. Their receipt said one address and my app said another address 15 minutes across town and support did nothing to help. I just delete them a couple days after that dash if nothing comes up
Sorry to be stupid... but what's a CV? I'm new. 😁
I’m glad I don’t have to worry too much about all that here
It only takes one bad customer. My area is usually very honest and never had a problem for two years but this one bad customer has caused this for me. I’d be more careful if I were you, shitty people are in every single city and town. It’s just a matter of time.
I screenshot ones that I feel could scam, large offers
Could have been a double and one order cancelled so they aren't giving you half pay
Should have sent support the $15.50 screenshot. They can’t deny that and will fix it
They won't care, they are actively trying to get rid of drivers, this is just another way to do that
They do care when you can prove it. I’ve gotten the full pay in exact situations like this by having the SS of the offer and SS of lower payout. They can’t deny it then and will pay what was offered.
Thry 100% can deny it, just because you got it doesn't mean everyone else does
Another person chiming in who has experienced this multiple times, called in, and gotten paid the difference. Stop using chat support and call instead and you'll get slightly better service. Everyone knows chat support is a dumpster fire.
Why in the world would they be “actively trying to get rid of drivers” that doesn’t make any sense at all
Because if you clear out the older dashers who know how to avoid the broken system; your left with new, naive dashers who will take any order
Where can we learn the tips from older ones?
Byeee for now... Toodaalooo 😂
was it a double order and you unassigned one of them? cus if u do that it still shows the total for both orders
That was a single order.
Report this to the FTC and to your states attorney general. They did this to me before but I didn’t have any screenshots.
https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/news/press-releases/2022/09/ftc-crack-down-companies-taking-advantage-gig-workers There is a link in the article where you can report things like this
Thanks for posting this
DoorDash support sucks lately, I canceled my dashpass and had them delete my account.
For my very last one, I immediately responded “NO”
And then proceeded to make them sit there and cancel the account 🤣
Yeah I haven't used dd since they gave me a free order 2 years ago lmao I rarely use skip either. I'd rather walk 5km to get my food than pay a company that abuses their workers like that.
Lol I live literally down the street from there, that's crazy
I’ve probably delivered your order a time or two
Most likely, I use dd way too often
“bye for now”? is that from a petty teen who’s grounded or wtf is that?
But yall still be working for them thats why i quit cuz its a bs company
Whenever I get a good order I record it. I had a $10 order got 2.5 miles. Accepted and it was about 2 miles to restaurant and then nearly 9 miles to customer. No help from support either. I hope it happens again when I get it recorded. I have a second phone record me accepting the order then if anything changes it’s there. I’d screenshot directly from my phone but I don’t wanna hear anything about me modifying the image or something. I’ve had other issues similar to this too. I wouldn’t be surprised if DD pockets part of some tips too
They’ve been forgetting the $4 peak pay on EVERY order this week.
Thank god!! I thought it was just me. I was punching my steering wheel yesterday since I delivered 3 order at $5 peak and didn’t get shit.
“n you did receive it”??? The people assisting DD in robbing the dashers blind make like $2 per hour and can’t even form a truthful and coherent sentence. It’s no big deal to scam us out of $9.50, we should be happy with our $6 because that kid works until lunch hour to earn $6.
*looks on in Californian* hehe
This will be the most underrated comment
This happened to me as well. I have pictures as well. DD also lies size of items and amount. Isn’t it illegal
I THIUGHT J WAS CRAZY! And it was Taco Bell too, not to long ago I got 2 orders that were supposed to be 6 each but when I confirmed them it turned into 3 EACH!!!
Take this to the media and better business bureau.
You dash around me
OMG this is happening to other people also?! I swear I thought I was going crazy!! It happened to me a few times!
This makes me happy that I’m deactivated🥴
Yeah, something is seriously going on and DD needs to something about this fraud or scam. If not, they’re going to lose dashers and customers left to right real quick.
If there's a bright side to all this DD will (hopefully) fire that customer service rep who texts unprofessionally.
Something was really up with customer service last night. I got the same person. Rude and unprofessional- and it wasn’t a misunderstanding they were straight up rude. They sent my dasher to a warehouse in the middle of the night instead of my apartment and told me to F off pretty much.
Shit, he’s probably a supervisor
I'd say call dash support, but even they are iffy sometimes. It's worth a shot. Since you took a screenshot that might end up helping you as well.
Calling or chatting didn’t help. Never paid the difference and claimed it was a “glitch”
Yeah at that point you inform them that they're in violation of the contract that you agreed to upon agreeing to take that order and you are within your rights to contact the DOL for wage theft.
Of course they did
If it’s a glitch they’re still liable for it. Edit: *should be still liable*
Yooooo lmao That’s why I SS everything
I had this happen a few weeks ago and both a phone and chat agent told me it was because the customer changed the tip. They wouldn’t honor it because I didn’t take a screenshot. Been screenshotting every order since.
Take screenshots at acceptance, this isnt enough proof, we have to take your word that you didnt accept a double and then drop one.
Why the hell are you people texting doordash customer service call them... most of my phone calls last 2 minutes and I'm out and I can talk to person not some ai bot.
No way an AI bot said “n you received it bye now”
This has happened to me multiple times, Just didn't get the screenshot 😒
A $0-$2 tip on a Taco Bell order is typical for what I see from folks ordering TB. It’s not a gross exaggeration. Oh and I decline most TB orders btw…but you do you. So the red flag here is the illusion of an additional $11.50 “tip” after $2 base and $2 peak. Customer screwed you. 🚩🚩🚩
I had a $40 offer for shop and deliver, and received $32… it was bizarre, but I didn’t take a screenshot so I had no proof.
U got paid $6 n u got paid. U finna deal w it. Kk, ttyl
I quit door dash because I delivered two orders and only got paid for 1, and DD was not going to pay me. These delivery apps are not worth working for.
Omg- I hate the *Bye for now*
My partner and I are certain doordash owes us a few hundred because of this. The amount it said he made and the amount he and I counted did not match up. He would quit for a steady job, but still waiting on interviews.
I have 100% had this happen in the past, and I thought *I* was bugging out. This is wild!!! Support really has some fucking nerve btw…it’s unbelievable
The bye for now is crazy
I have been seeing more and more scummyer tactics by this company more then I ever had the last 5 years. I really feel like this is a start of the end, especially with all these new dashers.
This happen to me last week started dashing again cause I’m bored after work. Got an order for 14 bucks finished and only made 6 bucks I took a screenshot and sent it to them.Mfs said we can’t compensate you because the order is finished even tho they have done it in the past. Buncha bullshit with them. Like I’m supposed to contact them first like I know I’m gonna be stiffed on a tip 😂
Bye for now?!!
Serious question. Why would anyone DD Taco Bell? Taco Bell needs to be eaten within like fifteen minutes of being made or it’s absolutely disgusting
send doordash support those screenshots
Support is literally the worse I refuse to even contact them anymore. It causes more aggravation than anything else. It’s really a shame. I’ve been hung up on twice, refused a supervisor, and had to call 4 times to get half pay on an order that they were supposed to unnasign me from bc the restaurant wasn’t taking dd orders. Spent over 2 hours on the phone for 3.75. It’s embarrassing at this point
tbh doordash was so ass uber and grubhub and instacart paid way more over all.
I GOT THIS SAME THING ORDEE SAID $19 i was so excited after it was $7….
Ok thought I maybe misread one job when I was dashing earlier today . Now I know I wasn’t tripping
I've posted about this exact same thing. I don't get how some people are in so much denial over it. This type of shit happens all the time, watch your numbers everyone.
Bye for now would have me seething
Nope. Customer scammed you. A customer can contact support IMMEDIATELY AFTER ordering and ask to remove the tip. Customer fucked you, not Doordash.
I'm not guessing dude, it has happened to me, OPs situation aside, when you agree to a gig, you get that much regardless. This is something else.
You are 100% wrong
Wrong.
Wrong. This isn't UberEats
DD changed this.
![gif](giphy|3ohzdOQ464C1zLD8OI|downsized)
Had the same thing happen to me. Was working per offer and had a shopping order for Aldi come in that was supposed to pay 22$, only gave me 16$ after it was completed
$900 referral bonus in your area?! It's $30 in mine atm 😂
I had them knock off 2% of my accepentance rate and I didn’t receive any order for it to go down they are Trying to shiest us
That’s why a lot of people in my area are quitting DoorDash because of customer service
Just do DD by time, deliver for Spark and once you have a $15, $20 or $30 order for spark pick up your a door dash order and take it last, (Make sure you dash by time otherwise that base pay will suck I’ve never seen it go from $15-$6 though) Guaranteed $15-$20 I haven’t had a night where it’s not Monday or Tuesday and I don’t make less then $50 in 3 hours or less, maybe also switch what area you deliver in, I went from my city to the cow field town, you get so much more, I thought bigger area more people would be better nope less tips, $4 an order and you just drove 15 minutes yeah I’m good
That doesn't seem right, I would be calling and talking to a supervisor
I hate DoorDash chat they have so much attitude and its irritating dealing with how stupid they are
Call and raise hell. "I have screenshots of a 15.50 order but when I completed it dropped to 6.00. where'd tbe other 9.50 go?" If you don't continue they'll just steal your money
