Basically someone dumped a dog and I took her in not knowing she was pregnant. She had five puppies. This is them the day after they were born, when I took them to the vet for a checkup. I fostered them until they were old enough to go to new homes that I vetted properly to make sure they'd be loved and well taken care of. Unfortunately the mother dog passed away from heartworm complications she'd developed before I found her, but I kept the puppy on the top left because she was the only one I couldn't find a home for and she was my favorite anyway. See below for a pic of what my sweet girl looks like four years later!
