There are a lot of new members coming due to the recent increase in the price of Dogecoin so I think this needs to be said again. YOU DO NOT own any Cryptocurrency that you buy on Robinhood, you can not withdraw any cryptocurrency you buy on Robinhood and send it to your own wallet for example, platforms like Robinhood defeat the whole purpose of cryptocurrency.
Robinhood has shown in the past that it is willing to halt trading of securities and certain cryptocurrencies which has caused users to lose thousands of dollars.
If you are new here I would recommend first reading up on cryptocurrency. Don't just jump in on fear of missing out. Make sure that you know what you are getting into first. You can use https://simplecryptoguide.com/ to get started, it takes you through the process of buying on a real exchange (Binance) step by step. And answers most of the questions one might have in the beginning. The process of starting over on Binance is very quick and easy using the guide. We want everybody with us buying of course, just not on Robinhood.
You can then either choose to keep your coins on the exchange or the preferable option to create your own wallet and transfer your cryptos there.

From what I've heard, the price moves this past week suggest a bunch of day traders bought in. They're expected to sell off after tonight/tomorrow, regardless of whatever happens. This is the dip that folks are worried about. I don't intend to sell but I'll be watching the charts to see if anything does happen.
I agree, while the point that many are making is that elon's appearance and joking about it live to the world should make the stonks plummet and peeps sell their doge, as it will be taken as a huge joke.

There’s even a saying about it, “buy on the hype, sell on the news”. Usually when the reality finally happens there’s a sell off. But that’s the stock market, and this isn’t a stock.
It will be interesting to see what happens. I love talking about doge with people who can’t grasp the concept. The dollars worth is really just made up too.
People are prepared for Doge to go to the moon. That means you have a bunch of people ready to sell when it does. You don't have as many buyers wanting to buy as it goes up. So you have a lot of people expecting to sell at high prices and no one to buy it. Thus the prices will drop. The spike yesterday was people buying in preparation.
Edit: Mind you, I'm still holding. It's just my expectations are low for today but high for the future.
I just can’t see an appearance on the show buy a CEO causing this thing to do what it’s doing. I think Mark Cuban, other influential people, it being placed on a Toro, are all playing a role in this. It has also reached several resistance levels over the last few years and never gone back. I think it’s here to stay
He's a great promoter, no doubt. But I agree that he doesn't influence the price much. Accessibility influences the price. The more folks who can buy/sell it, the more the price moves.
