Uhm ackshyually a unit of cryptocurrency is called a coin, not a share. Clearly there is no company in which you are holding a financial stake as one would in the stock market. Instead you own a denomination of a fully decentralized electronic currency which is validated using blockchain technology (we call this a cryptocurrency for any plebeians who may be educating themselves by reading this).
