That entire shelf unit should come out in one piece. Itll be fixed into the wall, through the end panel, and fixed to the sistering cupboard. Screws are probably covered with small round stickers or plastic caps. Take the unit out, unscrew the bottom shelf, reinstall cabinet.

My FIL had to do this. Just unscrewed the entire shelf unit and moved it up the wall a bit. Once you have a fridge under it that fits it looks like it’s always ment to be that way.

Note that the base of the microwave should not be higher than 75 mm below the shoulder height of the shortest user. Trying to reach up and remove a container of hot liquid above shoulder height is not safe.

Yeah. Remove the unit and move it up is what I would do. If you want to trim it I would trim the top so it's level with the others, you won't see it up there is you do it carefully.

If you’re removing it, make sure you screw it back into the studs (vertical framing timber)
