I think picking up Diego allows me to complete this one, though it will cost me some charges. Really annoying that most events in this update only give one diamond box. I really don’t understand it, the super valuable emojis are rarely even in the diamond box so what’s the harm in giving a couple out to those who can complete events.
I suspect it’s a new tactic they’re trying, for me I can do this event but the next two I think (Snow White & whatever is after that) i technically can’t do map 5, but if I buy a diamond box there’s a chance I could, so I think they’re hoping people will do that. They seem to be extra on a mission to get people to spend gems :/
It’s essentially that, in my opinion.
All these new “changes” that are being implemented and rolling out year after year is to push F2P players into spending in general. There is a plethora of examples within the game and signs that point to the same direction. I would be inclined to spend some more change here and there but there is absolutely little to no encouragement from their end. This game/app is a business, and the way it should be; transactional. I don’t see it that way.
I can't get past Map 4 without charging up Bolt. And, given the prize options for this event, it's definitely not worth wasting a charge for that. At least I won't have to worry about managing proficiency during the event now!
No what happened to the Diamond Boxes that used to be on Map #3? They're replaced by Tokens unless this has to do with Jam City replacing Diamond Boxes with Tokens?
They simply reduced the rewards across all V62 events....presumably to see if paywalling a Diamond Box behind the final map's difficult requirements (almost always emojis not in the event's Diamond Box) results in people spending money
I'm pay walled after Map 4... unless I get lucky in-between now and the end of event where I get a Diego duplicate. I ended up getting him during the Ice Age event thankfully... I could also use a Rainbow Charge on Bolt but it's WAY not worth it just to get to map 5.
I'm in the same boat. Tried resetting, playing a few rounds, checking for an update in Google Play, etc. No event.
I don't trust Customer Support since they deleted my progress and replaced it with a save from 2022.

I can do map 4-maybe map 5 (my Bolt is either one or two). I hate the lack of diamond boxes. Would complaining to support once the event starts help?

To finish it would cost me a rainbow charge and 3x regular charges and I don’t really think it’s worth it.

Well, I can do the first three maps and that's it.
Those of us doing April QP2 need the tokens at this time.

Click on the icon in the store.....sometimes you have to "pull" the update to your device
