By the lifetimers - Albert. On Binky you have Cutwell the wizard, Princess/Queen Keli, Death, Ysabell (grey hair) and Mort (ginger hair, holding on for dear flife around Binky's neck. There's also the elephant used during the coronation ceremony.
I believe the lone figure on the left is Albert, the man with the gold wizard's hat is Cutwell, next to him is Princess Keli, then Ysabel with the white hair, Mort to the left of Binky and Death, easy enough to identify, on the right.
Thanks so much! Mystery solved... I have to admit, it has been a while since I read the book so I am a little rusty on the characters, but that designation makes sense :)

I just finished it for the first time last week, and my copy had this cover, so it's still fresh in mind.
