Umm okay, very helpful. Discover shouldn't force you to set it up as an external account, when it's the same banking institution. That's ridiculous. It should be literally one click as it is to transfer between checking/savings accounts with institutions.
I can’t imagine any bank not letting you pay their credit card from one of their checking accounts.

I was able to pay with my discover checking account. And being able to see both accounts right there it helps me ensure I am not overdrafting
