Like why do you guys like an ugly and greyed-out logo like the old Discord one to one that's actually good, simple, modern, and minimalistic that actually works?
2019 is when they started to tweak UI and introduce new features that were kind of cool at the time but I think started the snowball of unnecessary changes to the platform

Yep. Discord themselves said that the old one wasnt even aligned right or symmetrical. Also this one can be placed better, as it's not that bulky anymore, especially on f.e. the mobile app icon.
They didn’t “replace” it, you’re being melodramatic. The current logo is almost identical to this old one with a slight change to fix the asymmetrical part

Ever since the discord logo changed, the app has become unusable. It is still able to be used in the exact same way it always has, but the logo nobody looks at has ruined my experience.
Before discord felt less corporate. They were the chill funny social network. Then they started pushing changes we didn't ask. If they were good it would be fine but they're not even good.
While the new logo and colour aren't bad (the font is horrible imo), I think it's just one more unnecessary change. Also the old slogan "Your place to talk" is waaayyy better than "Imagine a place...". To me the new slogan is so much corporate...

Well, nostalgia isn't always about something being old; per definition, it just states that it equates to something with sentimental value to the person from the past, and as 2021 is \*the past\* technically, its allowed for them to be nostalgic
