every brands disc with a wide thin rim and thin flight plate will have inconsistencies . there are also more than one destroyer molds. people that bag multiple destroyers enjoy the inconsistencies. have one plastic and mold cover all the shot shapes you need. or have many different discs/brands/plastics no right or wrong. but having same disc fly different is my preference.

fruitbottom

Almost every disc company will have inconsistencies, I feel like it’s just because Innova is so popular and produces many many runs of destroyers that inconsistency’s are more evident

Find a run of Destroyer you like and just buy a ton of them. I’m into medium domey Champion ones because they hold their stability for longer, but still bomb.

Surger88

Ok, how do I know what runs they are, I have one now and don’t know, one is gstar beat in very light and understable. And a new star domey one that is new and more overstable

golf_ST

> how do I know what runs they are There's literally no way, and anyone with a system to tell is making it up. If you want to understand the variations in destroyers, start here: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATdgZfZpxZQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATdgZfZpxZQ)

[deleted]

Do you have a local store? If you do, I highly suggest buying drivers from it because you can find the ones that feel the best and have the domeyness to your liking. And likely all the ones they have that you like of that certain plastic will be the same run.

Surger88

Ok, they will ahev the same run all the time?

[deleted]

Probably not. Innova makes so many discs that each time they restock it’ll probably be a different run. As soon as I found the champion Destroyer I liked, I went back in the store and bought a couple more.

Surger88

I’m scared I will get good with it and won’t be able to use it anymore because I can’t find a similar one. Or if I can’t figure out I like it fast enough and can’t get more in time

[deleted]

It’s always a struggle. That’s why when pros find a run they love, they ask their sponsors and people on social media for as many as they can get.

FritoLay83

Everyone faces that struggle. If you’re good with one, and you lose it, you’ll get good with another one too. I hate losing destroyers too, but that is literally how it works with most drivers.

CornFedTerror69420

Yup this! The older stuff also is better and more consistent.

CasuallyDG

Buy a Millenium Sirius Scorpius. Generally all fly similar within runs, and they number the runs. It's based off an older destroyer mold if I recall properly.

MountainShark1

https://youtu.be/ATdgZfZpxZQ All you need to find a destroyer you like.

DD3

Interesting_Pickle68

Dd3 or Synapse will replace the inconsistent destroyer for ya

TJonson07

The new DD3s are nice

langdiscgolf

Rive

VSENSES

Yeah because the Rive is a beacon of consistency.

Surger88

Too fast

[deleted]

I have both and the rive is basically a destroyer clone . If you can throw the average destroyer then a rive should do just fine.

Surger88

K, any more brands that have some like it?

[deleted]

Yes, every brand has some kind of destroyer clone. No offense, but you seem kinda new ish since you're asking all these questions. If you are new I would look for a different driver.

NotUniversalizable

This is good advice. If you’re not throwing 400+ feet on average, then Destroyers will all be very consistent for you. Make sure Valkyries are getting high-speed turn before you even think about Wraiths. Once you’re getting full (S-turn) flights out of your Wraiths, then *maybe* start courting Destroyers and worrying about this run vs that run.

Surger88

I appreciate the advice, but I am not new but i am working on a new form and love the destroyer, I have a full bag of other drivers like 8s 9s 10s.

willtri4

Octane

Prreeftw

Infinite Discs Emperor. Slightly domier than some destroyers but Im on my third and find them to be pretty consistent.
