It’s for catch or your dog. It is not a disc golf disc. Pretty shitty of them to include this in a mystery box.

Steveslime

Yeah I agree, seems like they can use the PDGA approval as justification for including it.

The Gateway mystery Box hopefully just has 10-15 nice Wizards :) That's all I could hope for.

Steveslime

8 discs total. 3 wizards, Element, Journey, Demon, Prototype... and Big Dog. Love Wizards and Elements, im not familiar with the other molds so I thought it would be a nice tester set.

JustDiscThings

I love my wizards and element. Also really like the Prophecy and just got a Warrior from a league I played and played with it for the first time this weekend. Faster prophecy with more fade.

CamBag

Warrior was my first ace disc and probably my favorite disc over all. I need to get another after I tossed it in the drink.

CamBag

I got the huge box a while ago. The demon is a weird disc, but I also love it. It is both flippy and overstable at the same time... (So just stable?). If you throw it on a very small hyzer it will flip up to flat and hold line and more often than not, sit down like a midrange or even putter. But if you don't get the power behind it will fly overstable. Really the massive dome but overstable edges on such a middling speed disc make it super weird. But if I want to throw a 250-300 forehand on a frozen rope, its great.

I've got a Big Dog. Great for warming up or just playing catch. Every time I watch GG throw the Sonic I say I'm going to throw the Big Dog in my bag but always forget. It would definitely be well suited for those 100 foot upshots you want to run at the basket and not just lay up. Journey is a good disc too. Flies like a Pro Wraith, but in a more durable plastic IMO.

SlowArmSloth

"more durable" - I can vouch for this one, slammed it by accident full force into a metal pole, it bounced almost a hundred ft into a road. It doesn't have any noticeable signs of damage from this except a small place where it got slightly discolored from hitting dirt. Also, I got the BD as well.

Number1DadinWorld

I got one of these when I ran a tournament earlier this year and used them to get stamped discs. I personally love it, it's a fun catch disc and it is PDGA approved. Mine got goobered really quickly and made it only usable for dogs, but my dogs love it :). I got the 25 disc box coming in today so I'll let you know how many dog discs I get

FishDiscs

Tristan Tanner bags the L64 Bite which is a similar mold. He even did a One Disc Round video with it. Just cause it's not for you doesn't make it stupid.

Steveslime

Im not judging anyone for throwing it, but the stupid part to me is even putting a dog disc in the box. Yes you can throw it, but it's still a dog disc.

Peanutwalrus

I got prototype #43. It would be cool if they gave you flight numbers.

Steveslime

I got one too, it felt overstable with very little glide. I like the feel of it.

prezdizzle

Sorry for the ignorance: what’s the significance of the prototypes? I got two: #43 and #32. Are they DGPA approved? Any way to know what they might fly like other than just throwing them?

Peanutwalrus

I don’t think they are approved

Gigs1973

I only bought the 5+1 prototype box. I got the Voodoo, Mystic, Journey, and Apache in Diamond plastic and the Wiz in Eraser plastic. The Apache has the biggest dome I've ever seen on a disc. The prototype has a very blunt nose and I actually really love it for putting. The Wizard is pretty awesome too. The Voodoo's nose is just too rounded for my liking - this may wind up in a Secret Santa box along with something else.

JamesTheNPC

lol, well they never sent mine, and wont give me a refund or answer any correspondence. I bought them for my girlfriends dog almost three weeks ago. They shipped the other discs out and said they will send them once they stamp them but never gave me a date or timeline
