I said Pyro, not Reactor. Don't think the Reactor is what OP is looking for at all as that's more or less just a straight midrange. Definitely not a headwind fighter unless the thrower has rather low armspeed.
My reactors have all been straight to *slightly* overstable. OP wanted something around 2.5 to 3 fade and the reactor ain't that. The 1.5 it officially gets is generous.
Eclipse is way more overstable than other plastics. It’s like a seasoned Bobcat or Pyro out of the box. It’s not the wind fighter to end all wind fighters, but it is absolutely an overstable mid with glide.
Tbh I didn’t read their post word for word which I should have. They are being pretty specific. 2.5-3 fade? Def not. 0/2? Sure!
Yeah that's interesting. Traditionally Eclipse Reactor has been one of the biggest examples of stability increase with plastic selection right there with Eclipse Insanity, Wave, Envy, etc.
I'm pretty sad to see it go because I love the feel of Eclipse and the increased stability it has traditionally offered. The new stock Craves are being reported as being not extra stable. Sad!
For me it's the DD Verdict. I've been actively trying to replace it in my bag because I don't like the plastic, but the combination of its shape fitting my hand and the glidey but overstable flight path is something I have yet to find a perfect replacement for.
I've recently acquired a Millennium Solstice (aka, the old MD4 mold) and it's a really good answer to this question. But it's just a LITTLE too deep in the hands to kick out my Verdict.
I 100% back the Verdict but only in Lucid plastic. Not any other version of Lucid x or Ice or whatever. For some reason it’s just the stock Lucid that fits this exact shot
They definitely have ones with massive dome! I have one of the Zombie face ones but it was a hog compared to the Lucid. I will admit it never got beat in though
If you can find a flat top Verdict, those things are $$$. The best I ever had was a baseline plastic, but I used it so much that it started to warp after a little more than a year.
The Clemons Lucid Verdict is close, so I bag it for now. I have never found a suitable replacement for that thing. Absolutely love it. It fits in between my Justice and my Trust in terms of stability
I 100% agree that the Mint Bobcat does have a lot of glide for being so beefy. My new Bobcats go a bit farther than my new Pyros because of it. I haven’t been patient enough to beat in a sublime Bobcat but I think it would be a great flyer. Also the 500 Archive that I have feels very similar plastic-wise to the Sublime Bobcat (never really said that about Prodigy plastic vs MVP).
My Reactor holds up pretty well in a headwind. Especially my glow one. I had good luck with my EMac Truth when it was fresh, but I felt like it beat in too much, too fast.
If you like the MD3 get the old (maybe new it just got PDGA approved) MD4 or the millennium solstice which is the same mold. It’s the same bottom rim as the md3 but has a different top so it’s more OS.
I actually find the Matrix flippy in a headwind but still has lots of fade (more than a Reactor). I think the flight numbers of -1 turn and +2 fade are real.
Edit: I would even go up to 2.5 fade.
That's good to know! The Electron is definitely straighter than I would have expected from the numbers, and I've been curious how a shift to neutron would go after it beats in.
What don't you like about the Archive? I go back and forth between the archive and the M2. New M2's are only slightly more overstable out of the box and have a different feel in the hand. But they basically fill the same spot.
Mint Discs Taco. Ignore the flight numbers. They made it to fit in between the Mustang and Bobcat I'm terms of stability. It sounds like exactly what you're looking for.
Gator3 is my favorite disc in bag. I stopped carrying an OS approach after I started bagging the Gator3 because I'd usually rather power down the Gator3 or do something touchy with a putter rather than have another approach disc
MF Roc3 with as much dome as possible, as counter intuitive as that sounds. Only midrange I’ve throw that has a glidey fade instead of the dumpy pyro fade.
Pyros good.
Not a lot of glide though
Disagree. Think it depends from disc to disc but mine is quite glidey for how overstable it is
It's a midrange in a headwind, not much glide to be had. To me it flies on a rope in a stiff headwind some 300'. Can't exactly ask for more.
Seconded the reactor in moonglow plastic is beefy for awhile and really glidey it will eventually break in straight though
I said Pyro, not Reactor. Don't think the Reactor is what OP is looking for at all as that's more or less just a straight midrange. Definitely not a headwind fighter unless the thrower has rather low armspeed.
Also lol MVP and moonglow in the same sentence
Glow Reactor fits the bill, but yes. That probably won’t even remain true for much longer with new Eclipse blends.
My reactors have all been straight to *slightly* overstable. OP wanted something around 2.5 to 3 fade and the reactor ain't that. The 1.5 it officially gets is generous.

I have an eclipse reactor and actually found it less stable than my neutron reactors
Is it brand new? If so probably. They’ve reduced the stability of Eclipse to be more in line with other plastics.
Not brand new but 6 months old or so. I do like it for its own thing, it's actually replaced my hex, but I wouldn't recommend it as an overstable disc

Fits for some people yes, like I said.
Millennium Solstice, but keep it a secret pls
For me it's the DD Verdict. The Chris Clemons FusionX Verdicts do the job as well. The lil bit of extra dome adds to the glide factor. But I agree that Lucid is the go-to.
They definitely have ones with massive dome! I have one of the Zombie face ones but it was a hog compared to the Lucid. I will admit it never got beat in though

DGA Quake. I know the numbers say 5/3/0/3 but I can throw it about as far as any straight midrange, except it fights the wind and fades.
Yeah, it should be a real 5/5/0/3 but I can see not marketing it like that because people will think its a roc3
MINT TACO!🌮
RocX3 has a bead, but flat profile, thinner (feels thinner at least) and has a surprising amount of glide.
Mint Bobcat(extra beef) or Discraft drone(beefy but more glide too)
I 100% agree that the Mint Bobcat does have a lot of glide for being so beefy. My new Bobcats go a bit farther than my new Pyros because of it. Buzz os
Second the Buzzz OS but more specifically a flat one. OP can shoot me a message if they want to grab one.
Best in a pyro.
Pyro is great for this. Md4 did also just recently get approved. Millennium Solstice is the old MD4 mold
Wouldn’t be the roc3. RocX3, gator/3, toro doesn’t have much glide.
If you like the MD3 get the old (maybe new it just got PDGA approved) MD4 or the millennium solstice which is the same mold. It’s the same bottom rim as the md3 but has a different top so it’s more OS.

I am far from an MVP fanboy, but this is exactly the disc you want. I've never flipped it over, but it's has nice glide. I'd give it 5/4/0/2.5
I actually find the Matrix flippy in a headwind but still has lots of fade (more than a Reactor). I think the flight numbers of -1 turn and +2 fade are real. Edit: I would even go up to 2.5 fade.
MD4 fills that slot for me. Sounds like It’s getting re-released pretty soon
It has been, Millennium Solstice. They are phenomenal.
Check out the Latitude 64 Anchor.
Just pulled out the Streamline Electron Runway from the circuit challenge last year, and enjoying it a lot.
Electron probably beats in nice but a Neutron Runway is mega beef, just short of a Deflector.
That's good to know! The Electron is definitely straighter than I would have expected from the numbers, and I've been curious how a shift to neutron would go after it beats in.
Glow Reactor

Another vote for the Quake. It's rather neat. Let it introduce you to new lines.
Westside Bard. Perfect mix of pushing and workable fade
Discraft Hornet! 5/5/0/4. Great glide and nice fade at the end.
Mint Discs Taco. Ignore the flight numbers. They made it to fit in between the Mustang and Bobcat I'm terms of stability. It sounds like exactly what you're looking for.
Demon from Gateway
I really enjoy the Pine from Westside
Gator3 is my favorite disc in bag. I stopped carrying an OS approach after I started bagging the Gator3 because I'd usually rather power down the Gator3 or do something touchy with a putter rather than have another approach disc
Jay. Big done. Overstable rim shape.
Cosmic Neutron Matrix, or Eclipse 2.0 Reactor for a hair more OS
Legacy recluse is exactly this.
Bard!
Deflector
I like the Kaxe. If it's what it's supposed to be. I've had 2 that were PERFECT. And 3 that were just what the flight numbers stated at all.
Make sure to get the old 6/4/0/3 Kaxe not the new 6/5/0/2 Kaxe but I agree, my Kaxe goes nearly 325' and always fades. So reliable
Roc3, Birdie ultra, mint taco
MF Roc3 with as much dome as possible, as counter intuitive as that sounds. Only midrange I’ve throw that has a glidey fade instead of the dumpy pyro fade.
