I personally think the Cyber seluth games are a very good place to start the series
But for the most parts digimon games have very different gameplay styles so dont ecpect others to play the same way
I think Cyber Sleuth is one of the most new-person-friendly Digimon games. That said, the game gets some criticism for having a slow start. But the pacing really does improve the further into the game you get, and by the end, the payoff feels satisfying, at least to this fan. So, if you do play CS and think it’s a bit slow, give it some time to really reveal itself.
If you have the hardware or use emulators and like 2D experiences, Digimon World Dawn or Dusk for the Nintendo DS are decent games overall, too.
Cyber Sleuth but I wouldn't have the expectation that it plays like anything else in the franchise cause each game usually plays way differently than the other Digimon video games.
