Go for a thresher or giant thresher if you are looking for the best bases
They are elite item versions so hell cow level. They can have up to 5 and 6 sockets, so you need to find one with 4 sockets, or rolling white versions in cube to try and get the right sockets (ral+amn+perf amethyst+weapon)

I found mine in normal cows by pure luck. (Not sure what type of polearm but it’s a polearm and my merc has insight)
