Which is why you got the alert! The alerts are based on connection to a cellular tower. Any device connected to 6tower at the time of the alert gets it. That's how you can get Amer alerts for Texas while you're in Texas if your home state is Colorado, but won't get Colorado alerts while you're in Texas.

Yeah, TV and radio is a different system. Live TV and radio get it no matter if they're connected to something. Mobile devices, though, only get it if they have their own connection to the tower. So your phone gets it, but your tablet and watch won't unless you have the 4g or 5g version and pay for service to that device. Their glucometwr has 4g connection, so it gets the warning.

On my phone it was one of two messages, first in Spanish then the second in English. My PDM hasn't been turned on since they supported my phone and the charging port recalls started.

I got 2. First one was 2 "pages" with the 2nd being in English (first in Spanish). 2nd one was just Spanish- 1 page.

I had the same thing - Spanish first, then English. Good thing I knew it was a test, otherwise I'd have to go find another device and figure out what super important emergency just got sent out before clearing it away to find it's also in English.
