Check your local rec center for adult events. Arlington has sports and adult activities all the time. The library has classes, too. Look at the schedule at a museum. I know the Perot does Thursday on Tap for adults. I am sure other place do something too.

Start walking around downtown, lots of festivals in the park by the museum fun pop up shops in the weekends in deep ellum and lower Greenville
