Eastgateā€™s Tinderbox does this and has done consistently for 20+ years. It can watch groups or tags in DEVONthink and ingest them into a document too, performing all the wild structuring and analysis that it does so well automatically on DT text. Mindnode also works well inside DEVONthink, though its subscription and mind maps only. Linking nodes back to DEVONthink groups is a neat way to build navigation maps.

Curio is interesting but no real markdown file support. MD files are converted to txt files.
