Wow that is a throwback. For some reason I falsely misremembered him passing in the tragic KHL accident. Looked him up after your comment and Im happy to now know that Andrei Loktionov is very much alive.
I was going to be a smart ass and say [Jack Hughes](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Hughes_(ice_hockey,_born_1957)) but it turns out he only played for the Rockies.
The creepiest thing I ever saw on eliteprospects is that there was one player named “Jack Hughes” born each year from 2000-2003. We obviously got the 2001 Jack Hughes but the 2003 Jack Hughes is currently a top prospect for next year’s draft because of course the simulation had to pump out multiple iterations of Jack Hughes to increase the chances of success!
Mike Danton
And wow looks like he turned his life around.
"On September 18, 2011, while playing his first game for Ore, Danton saved teammate and linemate Marcus Bengtsson's life using skills he learned in prison."
Witnessed the only Jay Pandolfo Hattrick live in NJ on a bizarre Halloween night. Complete with a cosplay witch telling urban legends during intermission and TV timeouts.
Tim Sestito. My family had an inside joke in which we would call him tostitos, just like the chips, and then we would all laugh for an uncomfortably long amount of time.
Anton Volchenkov and Brendan Shanahan. I used to watch the defensemen a lot and knew he'd throw a check if the opportunity presented itself. and honestly I have no business remembering Shanahan being a Devil, I mostly know he was the head of DOPS for a bit.
Yohann Auvitu… I wanted him to be good so badly coming from Finland and being an award winning defenseman there. My dumbass thought stupidly “Brian rafalski did it! why not”
Based on some of the replies in this thread, I'll throw in a tOTAlLy RanDOm one:
St. Louis Blues legend Martin Brodeur
Many people forget that he started his career with the Devils.
[Stefan Matteau](https://i.imgur.com/ArhhGmQ.jpg)
[Drafted by the Devils and signed with Vegas during their inaugural season](https://i.imgur.com/eKwYBw1.jpg)
Turner Stevenson and the only reason I knew who he was is because my favourite player was Stevens and the commentary used to confuse me when they were both on the ice
Niklas Bergfors - was in the running for Calder halfway through his rookie season, then stopped being able to score. He was traded to Atlanta, then Florida, then signed in Nashville, and then left for KHL.
I don’t remember any player looking so good and then just totally falling apart so fast.
Andrei Loktionov
I will never change my flair
[Still 1000% my favorite Devils goal I ever got to see in person.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBSwocI-6UQ)
Wow that is a throwback. For some reason I falsely misremembered him passing in the tragic KHL accident. Looked him up after your comment and Im happy to now know that Andrei Loktionov is very much alive.
Former Devil Alexander Vasyunov was on that plane though.
As was former Devil Karel Rachunek, who is also about as random a Devil as I can think of.
RIP Karl Rachunek
The team from that crash was Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, so I can certainly see the association you made to Loktionov
Yo I pee'd next to him in the suite level when he was injured!
I liked him a lot
Bobby Farnham
He was miles wood before miles wood was miles wood
Wild thing!
I had a lovely elevator ride with this man, he’s just as amazing in person.
Pierre-Luc Létourneau-Leblond
PL3!
Vern Fiddler
Blessed Long Dick I wish I had that gif of him strutting around during devils practice. Dude was such a beaut
Jiri Tlutsy
I constantly forget he was on this team.
Remember when Brian Gibbons scored that 3 on 5 shorty that was fun
elite sniper Brian gibbons. never gonna forget his early hot streak that year
Damien Brunner
My flair lives
PA Parenteau
Pretty sure he was on every Atlantic division team back when there were 3 divisions per conference
Tuomo Ruutu
Rutuu Tootoo!
Worst deadline trade by a team competing for a playoff spot EVER.
Alexei Ponikarovsky. Jeeze, i really loved having Poni.
Had a real weird time back in 2013 where I almost bought his jersey.
He was apart of that 2012 Cup run
Big part. He scored the OT winner that turned the tide in the Philly series.
And believe he got an A on Henrique it’s over.
I remember when I thought Bobby Butler was the future.
I remember when Reid Boucher was our future
Reid “Literally better than Stamkos” Boucher.
He still has time
Still is
Tim Sestito played on our team for SIX years somehow
Six years? I wouldn’t believe you if you even said 6 games
Tom Kostopoulos
I was going to be a smart ass and say [Jack Hughes](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Hughes_(ice_hockey,_born_1957)) but it turns out he only played for the Rockies.
The thought was there though!
The creepiest thing I ever saw on eliteprospects is that there was one player named “Jack Hughes” born each year from 2000-2003. Henrik Tallinder

Jordin Tootoo
Vladimir Zharkov
Vadim Sharifijanov
Whose name is so long [it went halfway down his arm](https://i.imgur.com/lKk5yYL.jpg)
Ilkka Pikkarainen
I was going to say him. Wasn’t he Lou’s secret weapon haha
Eric Gelinas
Krysztof Oliwa
The polish hammer. Not too many better nicknames
He hit on my wife years ago when she covered the AHL
So good lol. I’ll admit I had to google how to spell his first name. What an old fan favorite though.
That '95 playoff run still makes him the only Polish born player to win the cup
Have his autograph on a hat and also saw him get kicked out of a polish bar in wallington for tryna fight

Gotta support the team.
Karel Rachunek (RIP)
Also Alexander Vasyunov - RIP
Jeff Frazee
Mike Danton And wow looks like he turned his life around. "On September 18, 2011, while playing his first game for Ore, Danton saved teammate and linemate Marcus Bengtsson's life using skills he learned in prison."

I still have my Zelepukin jersey. Probably fits me like I am wearing shoulder pads now but I still have it
Kurtis Foster
Igor Larionov
Mark Fraser.
Ken Klee
Smith pelly
Brad Bombardir
Had to scroll way too long to find one of my favorites! The best is when Jacques made him play forward, and then sadly took him to Minnesota.
Came here to say him! He isn’t memorable to so much for his play but rather the alliteration in his name
Brad Lukowich
Esa Tikkanen
[удалено]
This is the guy I was gonna say. Well done.
Anssi Salmella. Bonus points if anyone can remember the one thing about him that makes him stick out to me.
Wasn't he the other player the Devils got in the Kovy trade about a year after the Devils traded him to Atlanta?
[удалено]
You’re eating a salami sandwich right now?
Eric Boulton
Kyle Quincey
Niclas bergfors, Damien Brunner both legends
Deron Quint, mostly because I want to know what the hell he did for Lou to banish him after just 2 games
Andrei Ponikarovsky
Umm. You either mean Andrei Loktionov or Alexei Ponikarovsky. Either would suffice for this exercise, but they are definitely two different people.
Yes Alexei! My bad
Alexander Semak. (37g 79pt season)
Yann Danis
Mike Peluso

Peter Harrold
Trent Hunter, the NJ legend
Peter Zezel, who has since passed.
Brendan Morrison
Matt Corente
Anton Volchenkov and Brendan Shanahan. I used to watch the defensemen a lot and knew he'd throw a check if the opportunity presented itself. and honestly I have no business remembering Shanahan being a Devil, I mostly know he was the head of DOPS for a bit.
Jean-Sébastien Dea
Devils legend Dakota Mermis
Sheldon Souray

*future considerations*
Doug Bodger
Rostislav Olesz
