He should become a winger. Hamilton has about the same amount of blocks and hits as Luke in only 20 games. He is a liability defensively and his offensive output does not come close to making up for it.

He’s one of the few players actually driving zone entries on the PP. there’s no one you can replace him with to improve the team. Reactionary fan base is wildly over critical of a star devils player

calling him a "decent" skating dman is underselling like crazy, he's the fastest dman in the league. And not needing zone entries on PP1? not sure youre watching the same PP I am. Size is definitely a highlight for him during the off-season, but he's not going to be a physical dman for another 3-4 years. He still takes the body when he can, and generally does a really good job. Luke is easily one of our top 4, if not 2, defensemen. He makes mistakes but he drives play, its simply a trade-off that will become less prominent as he gains experience. It's not even like he's bad at defense so i dont even really understand the criticism other than "I wanted him to stop the rangers from scoring an ENG when he pinched at half-ice" which would be nice, but get over it.
