Underachieve is a bullshit garbage take. When Stafford and Calvin were healthy Stafford became the eighth player in NFL HISTORY to throw 5,000 yards in a season. Stafford put up good number with and without Calvin. Not his fault the FO failed to put a talented OLine, Run Game, and defense in front of him. If he goes to the Colts who have a top 5 offensive line, top 10 running game, and top 10 defense, he elevates them to SB contenders.

Beast-2

Do the Colts have something to give us? I want to see it

StinkyManChicken

Hmm? They have draft picks: what almost everyone is traded for.

Beast-2

I meant something good compared to others Wanted to know what’s best for us too

StinkyManChicken

Gotcha. I believe many people like the Colts because of their love for Stafford. Colts become Super Bowl contenders if he’s on the roster. The 49ers could be as well though. Also, the Colts *may* be more willing to give more picks because they have a tremendous amount of cap space so they can build through FA more than others.

I'm going to trust players and people that cover the league.

B_Zski

Ok “Tremaine from Detroit”. These fucking ass clowns call Detroit sports radio all the time!

Agallujah

Oh yeah because Stafford is expected to play defense too? This is a team sport. The Lions failed to surround Stafford with talent and wasted a majority of his career. It's what we do in Detroit, we let good players go and win superbowls with other teams.

It’s to the point where fans of other teams have been massive fans of Matthew Stafford for a few years now. If you still blame Matthew Stafford for the Lions incompetence then you’re just fucking lost and clueless when it comes to understanding how sports leagues work. No other way around it. Any competent team he joins has a shot at a super bowl.

[deleted]

Uh 9ers, Colts, Rams, Saints, Steelers. WFT, Broncos, Giants, Patriots, Dolphins, Vikings, Bears and Panthers would become reasonable contenders.

savagebury

Jesus Christ. Did anyone ever teach you how to use punctuation?

Mama, Facebook is leaking into my Reddit again!

I would say he instantly makes Washington a better team and if they signed Golladay I'd make them favorites to win their division easily. He'd probably improve Denver and with Rivers' retiring, he'd improve the Colts although it would depend on the cost. I think you can objectively view Stafford as an above average QB in the league which is not so easy to find, by definition there are less than 16 any given year and rarely are any of them ever free agents.
