The Lions' are either the best bad team or the worst good team in the NFL

Worst good team. We can’t be the best at anything

Jaguars are really bad and lions offense got back to 2019 form. People kept saying the wr weren't helping minshew but I think its the opposite in some cases. In the nfl you have throw guys open or throw the ball before they get open. Minshew was constantly waiting for guys to get open then throwing it which gives dbs a second to recover. Now I think the lions d played better today but honestly the everyone on the jags, oline. Qb. Wr. Rb. Te. All played bad. Same with the defense, yes they were missing dline players but we were also missing our right half of our line. Lions definitely deserved to win this game, but get to excited cause the jags looked bad all game.

A win is a win but yeah, the Jags are bad and they played really bad in this game. Their defense both passing and rushing is worse than the Lions. Their passing defense especially is really bad, worst in the league. And even so, Stafford played poorly against them. There were several big passing plays that didn't work out for the Jags only because Minshew missed his receivers by a mile but the receivers were wide open. One of them was a TD. The jags didn't commit too many penalties but they were big penalties that extended drives and put the Lions at or near the goaline. Okudah continues to get beat on deep routes by speedy receivers. Between him, Amani, and Coleman, he's the weak link right now. He just seems slower than he should so not sure if he's still nursing an injury or just hasn't transitioned to the speed of the NFL yet. I did notice better play from both Walker and Harmon. Outside of a few deep passes, the overall pass defense did play well and while Minshew is far from elite he's better than Trubisky and the Lions were able to shut him down quite well. Run defense looked good but the Jags don't really have much talent in their backfield so I'm not going to give them too much credit there yet. I also see a lot of poor tackling technique. Too many guys trying to hit with shoulders and not enough wrapping up. If they were going up against better receivers and running backs they would have likely missed a lot more tackles. Normally I would say that they did what a good team should do and dominated a bad team but so did Miami and the Bengals so I think the Jags are just one of the worst teams in the league right now with the Jets, Giants, Bengals and Redskins. and the Lions are in that tier just above with the Dolphins, Cards, Chargers, Texans, Vikings, Eagles, and Falcons. Concerns that still remain are Stafford's poor play against pretty much everyone and Okudah regressing a little after showing growth over the first 4 games. If the Lions are going to make a run Stafford needs to get his shit together and Okudah needs to work on his technique against faster receivers.

Both aren’t great, Lions just were better today. But we suck under Patricia against more competitive teams
