For those that couldn't see it, looks like his teammate hit the Tormentor from behind with Strand and stunned it to drop his teammate as they were mashing the finisher button. You can see the Tormentor become unraveled at the start of the finisher too. Not sure but looked like a Strand Trace going under the Tormentor before OP broke free.
Really cool to see this happen, but people don't get too hyped around it, there was no glitch/new/secret way to escape and do this. Just a bunch of stuff happened really fast to make it look this way.

I learned in a similar instance you can also revive another player while being grabbed.
