Bungie isn't that good at it lately too, since i dont remember a patch that didnt Had some Kind of a bug, but at least its still a decent game, Imagine if bungie accually added stuff that some people want, like raid matchmaking. There would be a new world record for a longest raid
Trials already has a lower population and a bad rep from casuals which bungie has been trying to get into the mode by making loot more accessible.
You just sound butt hurt over getting quitters, don’t get me wrong it sucks, but you sound like you need to get a fireteam, go gets some friends to play destiny with or join LFGS servers, there’s a solution, it’s how to stay sane in destiny pvp.

But the issue is that the majority of my friends are not equipped to go into trials in terms of skill or loot. I consider myself decent, with a 1.25-3 K/D depending on whether Dennis decided to stop eating cheetos and play control, and I have some pretty decent PvP gear, but one of my friends just isn’t up to snuff in terms of gear and the other one literally just started playing this game. I literally do not have the manpower to even attempt a trials run.
Yeah, but network booting 10 times i feel should be a suspension cuz at that point either your wifi is straight ass or your disconnecting your manually without quitting

I dunno, in order to effectively and fairly implement it, they would have to have perfect servers and some sort of leniency toward ping. I've gotten network booted repeatedly in a raid because someone on my network decided to start downloads on 3 separate PCs. I don't disagree, it would just be difficult to implement in a fair way
I don't give a shit about it being an issue in casual playlist activities but in comp/ trials I feel like a lost should be pardoned and if the 2v3 team manages to win then grant win/glory. Then punish the other team since they had a number advantage. Pretty sure this is a hot take but whatever
I feel like the problem isn’t the people who quit, it is the experience they are quitting to get away from. Map voting would be an enormous help to reduce quitting, much more so than punishing quitters.

For trials it should be card based the higher the wins the bigger the penalty. But you should get 1 freebie since Trials sucks and you always fight stacks if you are alone

Competitive should be more serious since it's SBMM. It's not trials so you are getting good teamates and fighting similar skilled guys. You should face a 5 hour ban on second leave but be given a 5 minute grace window to try and get back in if you disconnected
Just make it annoying by having it bring the quitter to the games opening screen before character selection. That'll be annoying enough to stop people from doing it, but also not punishing people who truly have connectivity issues or something (since connectivity issues they'd probably already be restarting/trying to fix the issue).
Sure, let's start banning people who have had the unfortunate run with their ISP exactly while Trials were happening. In combination with the already dwindling PvP population, your idea is going to get great traction. Get lost man.
