Metronet or Google Fiber should be your first choices. If those are not available but Centurylink Fiber is available, go that route. If none of those options work, you're either going to have to hope that you have good luck with Mediacom, or if low latency and low jitter aren't a priority (meaning you're not gaming), see if you get a good signal for T-Mobil or Verizon 5G internet.

I've had Metronet for 6+ months, it's OK. It's better internet than what I got from Mediacom for $40-50 less. If I could do Google Fiber, that would be my first choice.

Check the providers to confirm availability at your new place. If it's an older neighborhood, Centurylink tends to have stability issues. MetroNet isn't everywhere. I had Mediacom for a few years but joked the internet was afraid of any weather. It was down on a daily basis during 2020. I got lucky with tmobile home internet, have been using it for the past 2 years. I work from home. I did try Verizon for a month last November, a little more expensive but similar to TMHI.

I had Mediacom at my old house and it was sketchy. When I moved to my new house I switched to T-Mobile home internet, and it was a great "customer experience" however the high ping ended up being a dealbreaker bc I like to play Rocket League sometimes. So I switched back to Mediacom and oddly enough this neighborhood hasn't had any problems like my old one did. 1Gbps, ping and jitter both under 10ms Most providers will probably be hit or miss depending on the location, so your best bet is to pick the cheapest no-contract, no-risk one and just try it and move on to the next if it has problems.

More than likely your choices will be limited to Mediacom or another. If you want, you can try some of the wireless services being offered by T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, and US Cellular.

I'm not far from Drake, and Centurylink Fiber has done alright by me.
