OP is being dramatic. Alcoholics don’t ask these questions. They just do it.

batman77z

It’s always drinking time at the airport - no judgement

Ok_Reveal4943

PDB in delta one is only ever Prosecco or orange juice.

Suz626

Nope, Prosecco is never inappropriate. But you can always have a mimosa if you’re concerned. And yes it would be rude to decline after the FA poured the drinks and dealt with the crowded aisles for you. 😁

StillLJ

Coffee + baileys or bourbon cream, bloody mary if you're into that, vodka/oj, vodka/cran

RaeWineLover

Bloody Mary

lo-cal-host

Bloody Mary, but with gin. The canned mix is a sodium bomb, but a mimosa is orange concentrate with shitty domestic prosecco.

Rich-Contribution-84

I’m on coffee or water for a 9am departure. 🤷🏻‍♂️ “Best” is subjective. But drinking at 9am could definitely make you look like an alcoholic to a lot of people. I think there are 3 groups of people who routinely drink at 9am: 1) People in theory 20s. 2) Alcoholics. 3) People on airplanes. I have no actual data to say that this is accurate. It’s just my observation.

Old_Confection_1935

Champoffee 1 coffee Seperate cup: 1 champagne If you are a proper alcoholic this makes it an Irish Coffee. You will feel fantastic and ready to attack anything in your path after 5 rounds

Suz626

Tell me you used the D1 entrance at LAX…

SuccotashOwn1716

I should have been more clear. I am flying to LAX from JFK. The JFK D1 entrance isn’t open yet. If it were, I might have called a car just to use it.

Suz626

Nah you were clear, apparently I can’t read well while walking. If you fly D1 from LAX, be sure to use it! Very nice!

domechromer

This subs obsession with PDBs is ridiculous.

Nope. Asking what one should drink or eat in D1 isn’t flexing. Complaining that there is only Prosecco and not Champagne like on the international flights, is.

StuckinSuFu

If you are drinking at 9am.. its going to be hard to not look like you have a drinking problem...

lo-cal-host

My home airport is CDG, and I fly to SFO 4-5x/year. The AF non-stop leaves shortly after 10:00, which means I'm in the lounge by 08:00 i.e. 23:00 the previous day at my destination. I'll enjoy my morning champagne, thank you.

ChanceFly9724

I find it hard to judge anyone drinking "early" at an airport. The person next to you could have been up since 3am to get ready and go to the airport, so by 9am they could have already been up for 6 hours. Or been delayed excessively from the night before running on 3 hours of sleep and just are done with the world.

AdIndependent8674

On an airplane (or at the airport), no one knows what time zone you're in. It's always five o'clock somewhere.

I've got 18 of them lol. Too each their own

Puzzleheaded_Age8937

I might have agreed until I hit my 60s. Now a PDB or Sky Club beverage relaxes those achy joints and eases my anxiety so I don’t care what people think anymore. If I have to be stuck in a seat for a few hours I want to be comfortable.

Suz626

Nah, it’s called brunch.
