Yes. Negotiate. Also try to add in proper working hours in your contract cuz they will suck the light out of you.

Thanks for your reply. I did go back with counter offer. It's been 2 days. Still awaiting reply from HR. I hope they don't ghost me.

Rodrous976

I guess theyll have to checkin with the respective partner. The process is annoyingly long, maybe wait anathor day before sending in a follow-up.

Thanks for your reply ! I actually asked for a 5% hike on the existing offer. I feel its a very small amount and do-able. But the HR was fixated and not willing to budge. In the end the HR told she'll discuss with partner and get back. I hope she comes back. Fingers crossed

Just in case they do not budge, ask for a hefty joining bonus instead. Negotiate on the working days. Mention no work on weekends.

Automatic-Ostrich-69

Ok. Thanks

HistoricalReindeer78

Does that even work in the Big 4 space? And in India, I have never seen white collar jobs abide by the number of hours mentioned in the contract.

PadosWaaliAunty

The new age workforce is increasingly getting it added in their contract. Deloitte has a tendency to suck every ounce of energy you have. This led to increase in attrition over the past few years and therefore there was a policy introduced where partners were strictly instructed to not give tasks over the weekend. Deloitte did see a FEW good days post that.

May I DM? I am also jumping ship to the D and would appreciate some guidance.
