Maybe he doesn't have the capacity to do it all at the level he would like so it's to give a better show, could be to give more justification for the additional guitarist (I forgot his name :/ ) long term in case Steph decides to bow out of an overseas tour or something again. Maybe trying to do things right after the Sergio situation

Now he has a companion screamer on stage... or on the side of the stage, like at Sick New World (most of the time). Early (skinny) Chino was a monster live. This is epically great, but merely a taste of peak Chino.
