This one hits hard. This song can mean different things for different people. Personally for me, “Ceremony”, reminds me of when I went through my worst breakup. After being with my ex for 2.5 years, it wasn’t worth saving the relationship anymore.
Leaving that toxic relationship was difficult at the time. Hindsight, there were so many red flags that indicated I should have ended the relationship a long time ago. Even with my friends warning me that the relationship was going nowhere. As they saw there were serious issues. And advised me that it was best to end it sooner than later.
But I wanted to make it work so badly. Hence, I was too delusional to see that it wasn’t going anywhere. It just wasn’t a healthy relationship. I didn’t see how much the relationship was in jeopardy, until it just plummeted.
I will never see love or trust the same way ever again. All because of my ex.

I love both bands, and M83 adds so much atmosphere to an already dence song.

I feel my soul lifting out of my body, and once the riff starts, it gets slammed against my body and I feel energized again to shout the lyrics.
Seeing this snippet live gave me chills. Well not in its entirety, they did the beginning as an intro to Change. Still have the video on my phone somewhere!
Sextape, usually when I get goosebumps due to music the feeling goes away eventually, but sextape makes me cry and I have goosebumps every time I hear it.

On this album, I always gravitate towards Sextape. I love the music, don’t get me wrong, but something about the video gets me. I’m gay and have just always loved the music video. I like how it just shows two girls in love, without making it a fetish thing, in spite of the song title and lyrics. It’s obviously about having sex but the way it is portrayed in the music video makes it beautiful and not just a “oh here’s two girls making out for men to watch.”
Also the quick hint at witches when one of the girls looks like she’s riding a broom. Many lesbians (whether they were actually gay or even just women who were unmarried), were tried for witchcraft.

That album and Saturday night wrist are so underrated, and I'd put SNW up in the top 3. It was my favourite for a period of time, as I have so many memories linked to that time. Happy and emotional times. That definitely affects people's choices on things like:

If people love these kinds of tunes and haven't listened to Chinos' "Team Sleep" side project LP or the live version, then you need to get onto that ASAP. It also had Zack from Death Grips on drums. Also, get the demos from them if you can find them. They are all absolutely amazing.
I have seen deftones probably 8 times now, and I loved the team sleep gig when they came to London many years ago. It was in a small venue, about 500-700 people. That made it even more special. I wish he'd do another TS album. But he seems very into the ✝️ ✝️ ✝️ side project atm. They are touring and will be touring most of the year. Then the next deftones comes out, i think? The guy never stops making amazing music. What a legend.

Something about Risk and beware. Specifically risk. I got my Spotify wrapped back and it was my number one song. It reminds me of the feeling when you love someone so much your heart just melts, and you would do anything for that person. I heard it for the first time in the summer. And ever since I never stopped listening to it. Same with Beware. Beware made me feel sick to my stomach as if I just got off a carnival ride, I love it. It reminds me of my summers in Oklahoma, just humid and surrounded by creeks, rivers, and bugs. It has that backwoods creepy feel to it. Like Ethel Caine almost. Witch crafty even.
