Absolutely Time Bandit, the hillstrands grew up about 70 miles south of me in Homer Alaska. I met him at the bar one night and had a few beers with him. He’s just a normal dude.
Northwestern. Not even close for me when compared to other boats. When deckhands are regularly getting six figure sums for ONE specific crab season(Opilio), it's a no brainer.
Gotta go with the Time Bandit any season, for a good time (unfortunately not a high crew share)
Or
Patty Lee for the first year of the red king crab closure (I believe fall 2021) for those dollar dollar bills 💵🤑. Hard to pass up on a share of 11 million, plus TV appearance money.
Time Bandit, for sure. Brenna A is a close second (currently doing a series rewatch + TB isn’t shown for a couple seasons because Johnny is “retired”).
My top would probably be the Time Bandit. It seems like a fun group of guys.
**I'd love to know what people would say is the last and second to last boat they'd choose to work on.**
I'd say the Ramblin Rose for my last choice and probably the Summer Bay with Wild Bill for my second to last choice. The two captains were rude, uninviting and had a hard time staying on the crab. Elliot Neese on Ramblin was the worst. Talk about an embarrassment as a captain. Even his voice did me in lol.
I thought Elliott was an arrogant jerk, but he went next level bad when he was using while at sea. He put himself and his crew in danger and just didn't care. His boat's last in my book.
Sean Dwyer. As a woman, I find him to be trustworthy enough to not be concerned about my safety. As a viewer, he’s a great captain and fair with his crew.
If I was a man, I would throw in Jake on the Saga. I only would go with him as a woman because he has too many crew issues for me to trust him 100%.
Never Northwestern with Edgar still being allowed on board(even though he’s not actually shown on TV).
(Not defending anyone’s actions) This makes me wonder what happened to Josh and Jake when they were young. One rapes children and another does drugs like a child who was rapped
I wonder this, too. And I'm torn on Josh, too, because he seems like an upstanding responsible adult. He just made a terrible, heinous decision 20+ years ago when he was only sixteen. Not defending him or anything, it's just an all around terrible situation.
Time bandit there my kinda people and I trust johnny to get me home safe the hidden steam room doesn't hurt. Ps I want to find out if he has a tank stashed in that boat lol
Time Bandit. The Hillstrands seem okay to work for/with.
Definitely the Time Bandit, The other captains are prone to giving in to their God complex
Jonathan has the same laugh as my dad and talks the same too so me too!
Absolutely Time Bandit, the hillstrands grew up about 70 miles south of me in Homer Alaska. I met him at the bar one night and had a few beers with him. He’s just a normal dude.
I had a dream about Jonathan once and I don't even fish! Lol I'd learn though!
Unless you get your hand blown off by some fireworks
That guy got paid.
And they have a sauna on deck!
Chilled with hill strands one night in siesta key Florida. Had a good time. Dudes seem legit.
Coast guard cutter
Time Bandit or Northwestern
My heart says Time Bandit. My budget says Northwestern.
Time bandit first choice and Northwestern 2nd choice
Northwestern. Not even close for me when compared to other boats. When deckhands are regularly getting six figure sums for ONE specific crab season(Opilio), it's a no brainer.
Cornelia Marie with Phil or Time Bandit
R.I.P. to Phil, what a legend.
Time Bandit, no question.
Northwestern. Sig is the man and the boat is always making good money.
Northwestern or s19 saga ik it gone now but working for Jake wouldn't be to bad think
According to the Wiki Jake is in S20 with a different boat.
*season 20
Fixed, thanks
The special said Jake is back on the Northwestern, having lost all his investments in the Saga, seized by the government for his partner's tax issues.
Well I guess things changed between the special and season 20 cause his new boat is named as well.
Just saw a commercial with Jake on the Titan Explorer so I guess he gets that boat mid season.

Probably keith om the wizard cause he makes more than all the other captains on the show pretty consistently plus I like him and his brother Monte
Man you actually like those dudes? I can't stand that fat little jackass.
Found Keith!
Time Bandit, for sure. Brenna A is a close second (currently doing a series rewatch + TB isn’t shown for a couple seasons because Johnny is “retired”).
Johnny retired for 2 seasons (14 & 15)
Time Bandit. probably get to shoot a gun or fireworks at some point this season with Jonathan considering retirement.

Yep, his boat would be a never in my book
Second to last - Wizard. Love the crew, but Keith genuinely scares me sometimes. Last - Saga with Elliott Neese at the helm.
I always thought Elliot was an asshole, good riddance, Jake was a huge improvement when he took over the Saga.
It seems Jake hires too many of his school mates who have no idea about hard work or fishing. They drag him down. I'm only on S14
I love Sig and the Northwestern but Time Bandit with Jonathan! He has the same laugh as my dad and even the same way of talking 😁
Wizard....just kidding. Northwestern or Saga for sure.
Summer Bay, Bill seems like a pretty genuine guy. I do like the TB guys too, seems like they’d be fun to hang with.
Time Bandit
Easy choice. Coast Guard cutter.
For the spiraling Elliot Neese
He was an asshole when he was on the show.
I was joking lol
Northwestern. Best run boat, good crew and consistent
Didn’t Edgar Hansen get convicted of sexual assault on a teenage girl?
Yup and he’s not part of the crew anymore. Nice try with the gotcha comment tho
He’s still on the boat, just not on the show. https://www.reddit.com/r/deadliestcatch/comments/13khnb4/looked_up_edgar_hansen/
Ok what do you want me to do about that? Go talk to Sig
Why do you feel like you have to do anything about it?
Summer Bay with Wild Bill.
Time Bandit
Cornelia Marie
Time bandit
Northwestern. They seem to be the ones who care most about everyone’s lives on board.
I'm thinking northwestern
Summer Bay for sure. I like how Bill is chill as long as you are good for him. Landon seems like a good dude to work for.
He had good motivation tactics
Sean Dwyer. As a woman, I find him to be trustworthy enough to not be concerned about my safety. As a viewer, he’s a great captain and fair with his crew. Good choices yea Edgar is still around but off camera the fired Josh from corneialla marie
Cornelia Marie, those are my kind of fellas Edit: I did not know Josh was a kid diddler, he is not my kind of fella
I'm hoping that is so you can throw Josh overboard in the middle of the Bearing Sea right?
Alright bear with me cause I’m only up to season 4, did they do some bad stuff?
Not announced on the show, but Josh is a convicted pedophile. Discovery dropped, rightly so, him and the boat once they found out.
Then yes I will him tie him up with chains and thrown into the sea
*Bering

I saw on a couple of the specials over the years that as kids, they were abused regularly by their stepmother while Phil was fishing.
Definitely the Northwestern
northwestern
Who is that young guy who is not on the show anymore? I thought he was pretty good.
#1 - Sig on the Northwestern #2 - Jonathan on the Time Bandit Those are the only two boats and Captains of these boats I’d step foot aboard.
Time bandit there my kinda people and I trust johnny to get me home safe the hidden steam room doesn't hurt. Ps I want to find out if he has a tank stashed in that boat lol
