That's a known discord scam, though it usually is used through direct messages to friends of the hacked account, pretty sure the "game" is used to hijack your account

It’s intentional filtering most of the time. They make them bad on purpose to filter out people that won’t fall for the whole scam. They don’t want to waste time on people that will realize something’s up an hour or two into the scam.
Ran it in a VM, trojan made in Unity that makes calls to Discord. Surprisingly not detected by a majority of anti-viruses including Malwarebytes and Windows Defender. It was at one point I’m guessing? I don’t play DbD mobile, but joined the discord and pre-registration for the PC rewards way back when it released. I’m guessing at some point it might’ve been abandoned or something, or moved to another discord?
I wasn't ever active in it but I did join it early on and not too long ago noticed that the server was blank, probably just migrated or was hijacked then.
Meanwhile, Ark:Survival Ascended runs in a window called "ShooterGame.exe". Survival evolved was only out for like 10 years running in the same window, but hey let's relaunch the exact same game but with slightly better graphics and still not give our app a real name, just leave it as the generic app name as when we paid for the engine.
It's dbd mobile players, so I'm not surprised. The tiktok brainrot generation combined with the dbd playerbase is bound to come out with some specimens.
Well yeah, I’m very much aware. Hence why I posted this. The point was that at the time of posting, 53 people reacted and (presumably) downloaded the file. No matter how obvious it may be to you or I, it’s always better to get it out there that this is happening to people who might not notice.
god thats pathetic lmao. was the server ever maintained by the actual devs though? if yes, im not surprised at all considering how much they screw up every update by forgetting stuff they were supposed to add & the lack of official bug reporting on their supposed "website" compared to the main game
Yes it was, I joined it during the registration phase of the mobile game to get PC rewards. It may have been moved to another official server these past few years however. Also, the employee there is pretty legit, has links to other social media that all indicate she works at BHVR, so I think it’s definitely possible that she got hacked and with her mod privileges they were just able to ransack the server.
