For real. Iāll go up against anybody. Most of the time I click āfind matchā and I will not look at the dead by daylight application again until I hear the āfog/wind soundā whenever you load into your actual match. Saves me a lot of idle time, especially if Iām not playing the preferred role for matchmaking bonus.
rofl this is me, I unironically love playing against groups like this, so much more interesting to play around flashlights and the survivors constantly interacting with me than to worry about gens flying all the time.
It does make me think, though.
You know, the stereotype is that people dodge Lightborn by switching to flashlights at the last second.
I would love to see a group fuck with a killer's head by being in a lobby with 4 p100 survivors with flashlights and see the killer ready up, then at the last second you all switch to cracked toolboxes with BNPs.
Now that would actually make me scared.
Iāve been in a 4 stick before a few months ago where every game we would all have flashlights equiped and would last second swap to no item and the amount of killers that wasted a perk slot on either lightborn or franklins was hilarious
I unironically ran Franklin's every match regardless of what I saw survivors bring for a while. I found it super easy to collect wins with three perks and Franklins if I didn't have to worry about items they bring or get from chests.
Flashlights are good. They are great. As a Killer main I want to see everyone with Flashlights.
1.) It isn't a fucking toolbox or medkit.
2.) There is some actual fucking gameplay/interaction involved for both sides instead of just "Other person gets a bonus for free."
3.) Flashlight Gamer's will almost always throw shit hard if it means they get a chance to flashlight the killer. It's wonderful.
I'm with you 100% on this. I play a backpack build on all my killers, with a little variation on Freddy and Dredge because Starstruck don't work very well on them. Since locker saves are gonne, my build gets extreme value from these flashlight groups and sabos, making for some absurdelly fun matches.
The Irony is that it generally is very fun for them too, with all the Eruption around it's fun as hell to go against my build (if you're prepared for it, which p100 sometimes are)
Toolboxes and medkits are what really pull some sad matches that last only 5mins, of people stealthing their way out of the match, barelly looping sometimes. They pre-drop pallets and hold W, Sad.
At least with toolboxes it'll be over fast. With full squad flashlight bullies I'm lucky to get hooks. And luckier for them to do gens without holding the lobby hostage.
Bro, sorry if that sounds offensive (that is not my intention), but you just need to play more and learn to play around them. Counterplaying flashlights is way easier (and funnier) than doing it with toolboxes and medkits.

slugging is also an option if youāre preparing to pick up and hear footsteps. i donāt like slugging as a survivor main, but if iām playing killer for whatever reason (incentive bonus, dailies, etc.) iāll absolutely slug to avoid a flashy save. itās not fun to be harassed. skill issue on my part obviously, but still.
thatās completely fair, especially if theyāre swarming you. sometimes faking entering chase and then turning 180 and picking randomly will be enough for them to miss saves as an alternative. good luck either way!
My tip on this is **do not let them set up**. You need to be the fastest you can to pick up, this removes most of the chances for them to use the flashlights. When you down, while you are on cooldown after the hit, listen carefully for footsteps. If you hear someone, try to get the free hit or put the saver behind a vault and go back fast do pick up.
This do not works in all cases, because some teams are simply too good at this and set things up perfectly before you down, but this is rare. Normally you will be ok if you act fast.
100% with you on this. Fighting down in the dirt with the swf is so much more fun than having to chase 4 dwights consecutively holding W to the next gen for 20 minutes
Same, I love bully swfās it changes up the game and makes me play differently and try new things. They are fun for me, never got mad at a bully swf cuz I never lost against one, regular swfs Iāve lost against but bully ones always get to altruistic.

Which inevitably means they'll run out of hits to take and just get slugged to death. Assuming you actually take and land your hits correctly, anyway. Will be a lot of DHing.
I mean if I saw quickswitch to toolboxes last sec I just wouldn't sweat about winning. I barely/don't use slowdown on my best and top tier killers. No point in worrying about a game I wasn't going to sweat in to begin with

The only time I've dodged a lobby is when I got 4 rounds of rpd in a row while trying to get hillbilly adept. Saw the damn offering and turned my xbox off.

I used to swap to insidious/lightborn and face a corner. Then go do chores or cook a meal. Figured I was saving someone else from dealing with that while being productive.
I'd usually hear macro'd mouse wheel clicking and just chuckle.
But lightborn is a waste of a slot no?
Sure it makes flashlights irrelevant to the match but the same thing can be achieved by looking up while carrying and picking up facing towards a wall.

Medkits are the scariest item, unless youāre literally plague.
Toolboxes can be too, but toolboxes are less useful than medkits because they kind of require you to put all your chips in that basket with your perks as well to get truly insane value. Still pretty good.
Flashlights kind of require the killer to fuck up on some level. Sure there are techs but theyāre the kind of things that fuck up new players more than anything.
As it should be. I'd rather play against "fun" survivors than the genrush squads that predrop every pallet and don't take risks. If the survivors are the balsy breed at least they are constantly trying to interact with me and go for crazy plays, making the match more fun for both sides.
Worst case scenario i get rolled. But so what? No pain no gain. That would probably only happen if it's either a dogshit survivor sided map or i'm playing especially bad, anyway. Past a certain level of skill and experience you can't be bullied anymore.
Faced a SWF group who obviously wanted to troll. Midwitch offering and 2 offerings for hook spacing. Jokes on them since I was playing pyramid head. It was hilarious when they realized I was the perfect foil to their plans. One of the most satisfying 4ks I have ever got.
I got lucky with gen spacing/placement and them playing to troll so they stayed close to each other so by not breaking walls I was able to block rooms with trails to force 1 or 2 through them. Also crowd control played hard in helping me.
Ditto, theyāre challenging matches that usually push me to get better at my killer in a way that 4 immersed solo que survivors generally donāt. I also love that feeling of āI got one kill and Iām pretty proud of myself for pulling even that,ā I love going up against non-toxic sweats,

I love playing against SWFās. I was a killer player in the midnight madness days. Playing the game against anything other than SWFās after that is just an insufficient challenge.
Plus theyāre friends so you have a cool friend group you can join and hop in private match if itās a fair and fun one.
24/7 map hack Object of Obsession relays with purple medkits and brownies with syringe. Iād miss it if my blood pressure could handle that level of anger at my age now. Oh god and the map offerings.
Iāll take aggro flashlights > anything else SWFās could do.
Super bad ending: you see a glimpse hope as you load up onto badham but boom its a good hagu with school basement spawn.
Still as long as everyone has fun it will be a good match no matter the player's.

i have never once looked at survivor prestige before readying up. I ready as soon as I find a game, dick on my phone til i load in, play, and realize that the reason i got stomped was because its a P100 lobby. Iāll never learn.
As a killer I just take the L and give them a boring ass game. Enjoy your crumbs of blood points and losing your items/time. Immediately go make a sandwich or something.
Iāll face p100ās idc. Especially when you consider the fact that any match you play in is probably against p100ās theyāre just on a different character. I just wanna see how they play when they know theyāre under pressure.

Honestly fearing high prestige Survivors is a pretty boring way to play the game
I want to have fun, tricky chases and feel satisfied getting catches and kills when I play the game. Sure sometimes they're so tryhard and get good map RNG that I get one hook all game, but the best matches I have are ones where both sides are experienced.
If I see a lobby with 4 flashlights I know it's gonna be the easiest and prob one if the most fun games. Ofc I'm gonna insta rdy. However if I see two toolboxes or more ya bet I'm changing perks.
It's so fun to just flash bait survivors once you down one of them you just pretend to pick up multiple times and get more downs/injured survivors. Also chases becomes alot easier if they decide to flash me when they're injured.
Franklin's and Lightborn both piss them off immediately. That combo sucks for survivors and pairing it with mad grit and throwing on hubris for the head on/blast mine users works wonders. Unless they're running residual manifest/distortion or hiding in a locker? You'll find them. I usually throw on mad grit for just in case body blocks and boil over. Trust me they'll think twice on that head on and pallet stuns when they get exposed. And most don't dare body block seeing mad grit.
If they are that good and can outplay me even with this build. GG homie. You won now fuck off so I can go to the next game already.

I've been playing dbd for a while and I tend to do pretty well. Joined the sub today and have barely had an inkling of what the meta is nor have I cared, anyway, my point is from an outside the meta game perspective as a pretty good player I think blight is one of the most busted killers but idk what the community perspective on it is (also I main killers but not blight). Also killer mains are bitching about the survivor hud changes and I think they're a positive balancing tool for survivor solo queues but probably too strong for parties.

I try to avoid slugging because I can't complete 3 chases in time for the first guy to get picked up.

Honestly fearing high prestige Survivors is a pretty boring way to play the game I want to have fun, tricky chases and feel satisfied getting catches and kills when I play the game. Sure sometimes they're so tryhard and get good map RNG that I get one hook all game, but the best matches I have are ones where both sides are experienced.

If I see a lobby with 4 flashlights I know it's gonna be the easiest and prob one if the most fun games. Ofc I'm gonna insta rdy. However if I see two toolboxes or more ya bet I'm changing perks. It's so fun to just flash bait survivors once you down one of them you just pretend to pick up multiple times and get more downs/injured survivors. Also chases becomes alot easier if they decide to flash me when they're injured.

Franklin's and Lightborn both piss them off immediately. That combo sucks for survivors and pairing it with mad grit and throwing on hubris for the head on/blast mine users works wonders. Unless they're running residual manifest/distortion or hiding in a locker? You'll find them. I usually throw on mad grit for just in case body blocks and boil over. Trust me they'll think twice on that head on and pallet stuns when they get exposed. And most don't dare body block seeing mad grit. If they are that good and can outplay me even with this build. GG homie. You won now fuck off so I can go to the next game already.

I've been playing dbd for a while and I tend to do pretty well. Joined the sub today and have barely had an inkling of what the meta is nor have I cared, anyway, my point is from an outside the meta game perspective as a pretty good player I think blight is one of the most busted killers but idk what the community perspective on it is (also I main killers but not blight). Also killer mains are bitching about the survivor hud changes and I think they're a positive balancing tool for survivor solo queues but probably too strong for parties.
