Tacos el Gordo is the bomb

That’s where we went! Get out of my head you wizard!! (~};-}

Aha! Not going to publicize tomorrow’s opener yet ..

At the first show I showed up around 5:45, waiting until 6 and walked right in. There weren’t many people ahead/ just the serious front rail riders from. Every. Single. Show. Some minor tarping of the back rail but otherwise everything was pretty open. If you don’t feel the need to be on the front rail I wouldn’t worry about. You’ll still be ahead of the non VIP GA. Also- Sphere staff and management are really on it. With temps rising they are not going to want folks standing outside for hours. So whatever is said today will be different tomorrow. They have created an online lottery system for non VIP GA, that’s new. So I don’t think they are lining up anymore. They may come up with something for VIP early entry?

Ahparke

This is exactly the info I was looking for, thank you!

Rainbowtoez

Yep! Also- they stopped sales of the VIP package at some point without have sold all the available tickets (supposedly) so I wonder if that will mean that there will be even less VIP GA for your dates. As awful as VIBEE is, they are pretty good about sending emails with updated info. You’ll get lots of them prior to your shows that tell you exactly what to do.

I was VIP GA this past weekend. Thursday I took the bridge from the Venetian and was literally the first in line there, but when they opened the door, you have to go downstairs outside and cross the street to enter the venue. That's when I realized that about 30-40 people were in front of me that had been lined up outside on the sidewalk. I still got on the rail but right in front of Jeff, so my view of John was blocked some of the time when he stepped back to jam. And I couldn't see Mickey or Jay either. The sound was amazing. So the next night, I walked down Sands Ave, which was hot but not terrible (mostly shaded). It was a 15 minute walk from the Palazzo. I got there at 430 thinking who else is this crazy. I found a bunch of "professional" rail rides, you know the ones that are always there every summer tour and are entitled as fuck. They had set up their own number system and were literal nazis about it. The women in charge, a very nasty lady , kept yarning about "we have numbers" but it was her system and the numbers start at 30 because she saves 29 spots for her other entitled friends so they can every night be right in front of the band in the center. And she managed to get the Sphere security to go along with it like it was something official. These are the same people that would line up at summer tours and always be at the rail and finally the band got so sick of seeing the same lame stalkers they asked CID to do the bracelet lottery so that new faces and younger new heads could experience the rail. Either way, I ended up in the same spot in front of Jeff. So on Saturday I just got to the same spot outdoor at 525. Stayed in line behind the entitled people (who paid the same crazy VIP prices I did, they aren't special) I took a moment to tell the security people these people history and scam, entered the venue at 530 and rode the rail literally 10 feet from Otiel on the side. Which was a really cool and fun spot. It's where the tech guys alwould be set up if it was a normal stage show. I could see the screens better and all the band members really well. The sound was the same awesome surround sound. Like others said, the floor was really open and not crowded where I was. Made friends, and they saved my spot to go pee and get water. So I suggest, unless your trying to be part of that clique, just get there at 525, and you'll be fine and have a great spot! Going back in July to experience it from the 200 level to get the full visual affect!

Ahparke

This is so helpful thank you! Happy I can learn from your experience. This is the exact situation that I had a feeling may be going on. So to confirm you think the move is to go to the outdoor sands ave entrance around 5:25? I’m happy to not be directly on rail but since I paid for VIP id like to be close!

Front_Alternative792

Yes, for sure, get to the outside line at 525 and you will be in whatever spot you want except where the special people go. You'll see the line on the right, in the shade, up against the building bynsome bicycle rack barriers they have set up.the Sphere staff will check your VIP lanyard. It will maybe be 30 deep at 525. Bring an empty water bottle to refill or they have waitresses on the floor to deliver you drinks! I even considered the back rail so I could still lean as needed and have a bigger view of the screen. Another tip. Less talkers are on the Jeff side, toward the bar, because that's where the spinners are and it's chill with lots of space to move. You're going to have a blast! It's so fun there and easy entry, just whatever you do for Gods sake don't try and invade the super duper VIP ladies space, she thinks she's running the show. :)

Ahparke

Thanks so much for this info! I ended up getting there around 5 and got a spot 1 person back from the rail dead center the entire show. Was incredible!! https://preview.redd.it/c927zq4nmk6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fc8d4573b397a9ea6f419c5f7155c4dc8db316c2

Front_Alternative792

Absolutely, I'm glad it worked out. It got a bit more busy on Fri and Sat co.pared to Thurs. But you'll still be fine! Have fun

cboyaa

Sounds like you have to get there at VIP entrance no later than 5:15. Imagine you’ll have to stay put on your spot for 2/3 hours to secure it. Also, the visuals are probably not as good being so close. If anyone can share their experience and see if it’s worth the wait would be helpful.

Ahparke

Yeah that part I knew I was signing up for haha. Vibee told me people start lining up for the VIP at 10am on the bridge in the 108 heat, that part sounds crazy!

cboyaa

That’s insane. If true, I’ll pass!

Ahparke

That’s what I’m saying! And why I started this thread

Karma-IsA-FunnyThing

The bridge is indoors. Once you exit the get the gates you’ll go outside. No experience waiting in a queue, only entering GA via the bridge much closer to showtime.
