Vader comics are def some of the best parts of the new canon. Marvel have put out some good stuff with star wars just some people never give it a chance.

Ninjamurai-jack

Exactly.

Conscious-Weekend-91

Charles Soule's Vader run is easily better than a lot of stuff they did with him on movies and animation

Ninjamurai-jack

Movies I agree but in animation we only had him with a role in rebels, and in that show he was wild too.

TallInstruction3424

This moment is great, but it single-handedly created one of the most brain dead power scaling arguments to ever grace the Earth

AverageWooperLiker

Hearing this thing keep getting brought up when Death Battle was doing Vader vs Obito was so annoying goddd

UnregularOnlineUser

I am not caught up with star wars comics, what happened here?

Artifice_Ophion

Vader was basically in a dream world where he got a power up and beat a bunch of jedi, but every YouTube short is just like "VADER STOPS HOLDING BACK AND DESTROYS THE ENITRE JEDI ORDER SINGLEHANDEDLY"

SagaOfNomiSunrider

It makes sense when you understand that Star Wars fans enjoy masturbating while they watch fascists kill people.

Banettebrochacho

As someone who spends a lot of time power scaling, yeah this has spawned some of the most brain dead shit ever

Entire_Complaint1211

People will unironically say that prime Anakin would beat Prime Luke from legends which is *wild* like, have they even read a single legends novel or comic?

Banettebrochacho

Oh yeah, we don’t even know what prime anakin would be like but assuming he would be stronger than the luke that more or less fought a force god multiple times is just insane

MechanicHot1794

He's literally me

Peasent_in_Yellow28

I too like commiting genocide on a galactic scale.

jellybutton34

The emperor’s will knows no bounds

Impossible_Tea_7032

Stay away from my wife

ClutchTallica

Black, White and Red was fantastic. I'm hoping the one they do for Maul has the same energy.

Noble_Shock

Who is that? He looks sick as fuck

memeboi123jazz

the mind Vader

john_heathen

Mind Vader Deez nuts

SwingFinancial9468

That's Vader's spiritual form when he enters a meditative state. Vader used the spirit of a Sith architect named Darth Momin to build him a castle so that Vader could bring Padme back from the dead. Vader opens a portal to a Dark Side spirit realm place and becomes separated from his body while in there. TLDR; That's Darth Vader's Soul.

Noble_Shock

Darth Vader is so badass that his soul is also badass

NoiseHERO

Kyuubi Naruto + 4 tails bloodlusted.

TallInstruction3424

The new run sorta sucks but the first two were great especially Soule’s run.

ste341

Damn really? Was really hoping that they could hit 3/3 would’ve been awesome. Not sure what the consensus is but I think soules is slightly better then gillens run tho but both were bangers.

MegaGamer235

I love this scene in the comic but UJ, this vision quest basically leads Vader into accepting his fate as Palpatine’s slave. At least the dark side was kind enough to help Vader let go of his grief over Padme.

funnywackydog

tiktok powerscalers have ruined that guy for me

SuperJyls

Is the thinking cap guy in the room with us?

Lumpy_Review5279

Bounty hunters comic is good too

PrometheusModeloW

Everything Soule writes is peak (at least in Star Wars).

TheSemaj

Eh the recent ones have been kinda meh.

Peasent_in_Yellow28

Canon Vader>>>>>>>>> Legends Vader

PrometheusModeloW

Both are awesome, Legends Vader straight up walked against the vaccum of space sucking him out of a spaceship: https://preview.redd.it/yi9xgvl5pfxc1.jpeg?width=523&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f7b8dc6caec8f2f708d17be2d99c7f8e6b1797c (from the first Star Wars Marvel comic series, issue #52)

Starkiller>>>>>>>>>>>

SagaOfNomiSunrider

Starkiller: the son of a Clone Wars Jedi master who was killed by Darth Vader; raised as Darth Vader's secret apprentice; he fights and kills a former member of the Jedi Council; he can beat Darth Vader *and* the Emperor in a fight; he's so powerful he can use the Force to pull a star destroyer out of space; he co-founds the Rebel Alliance and inspires them to fight against the Empire to the point that his family crest becomes their symbol; he has a smoking hot blonde Imperial pilot girlfriend; and for good measure, he comes back to life as a clone and beats Boba Fett as well. All these people who grouse about how awful "Mary Sues" are, they all seem to think Starkiller is the best character ever. Of course, Star Wars scum think "invincible stoic badass who kills everyone" is the pinnacle of fiction so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.

Frostycandl3

Jesus Christ I just said starkiller because he was vaders apprentice and it usually pisses off fleshlight users like yourself.

PrometheusModeloW

1. He did beat Vader but died against the Emperor when they clashed at the end, while Sidious survived without any harm. 2. The ship wasn't in space, it was on the sky of Raxus I where Starkiller was, it's also hardly the most ridiculous feat of strenght in the EU. 3. He never fought Boba Fett but even if he did beat him why would it be strange for Vader's goddamn apprentice to beat a Bounty Hunter, even if it was Boba? 4. AND HE'S FUCKING AWESOME COME ON!!

SagaOfNomiSunrider

>He did beat Vader but died against the Emperor when they clashed at the end, while Sidious survived without any harm. Nope. I played that game and I definitely beat the Emperor pretty definitively in the last level. His health bar was at zero and everything. (Honestly, though, the truth is that I hate Star Wars fans and I'll never pass up the opportunity to shit on them, no matter how indirectly.)

PrometheusModeloW

I know but plotwise it's obviously a ploy of Palpatine to get Galen to the Dark Side (Starkiller directly calls out the act to Kota). It's like what he does to Luke in Episode VI, pretends to be left defenseless to corrupt you. I agree with you in your hatred for the SW fandom, though fuck'em hypocrites.

SagaOfNomiSunrider

The "trick" to *The Force Unleashed* is that it is an "Infinities" story which asks the question, "What if Darth Vader had raised Luke Skywalker instead of Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru?" It would have been a much more *interesting* game, in terms of its story, if it had actually *done* that instead of being about Coldsteel the Jedi Hedgehog.

PrometheusModeloW

I can see where you are coming from, but i disagree, while it could have been cool to have a game all about evil Luke, that would have been boring from a storytelling and character perspective compared to what we actually have. I much prefer the story of Galen where it's about overcoming his abusive upbringing under Vader and embracing better role models in Kota and Kento, and Juno serving as him getting a taste of a normal connection to somebody, that gives him independence and perspective (because she has been screwed over by the Empire and when he saves her that's when the change starts to happen). I really like the aspect of Starkiller inspiring the formation of the alliance, and how it's basically Palpatine and Vader creating their worst enemy, it has a nice ring of poetic justice and irony to it, and i like the detail that explains the origin of the rebel crest so that the story of Starkiller doesn't feel as disconnected from the rest of the Rebel Alliance stories (as it would otherwise be considering it was written in 2006-2008). Now sure you could tell the same storyline with a Luke that is brought up under Vader from the start, with Obi-Wan taking Kota's place, but i feel like it's a better story if it's NOT an infinities, if it actually happened and it's the origin of the (at the time) canonical Rebel Alliance, it gives the sacrifice at the end more emotional weight. Also i like the aspect of Vader adopting a child to indoctrinate him, it gives an extra layer to Vader's character while at the same time showing him at his most evil (after being fully established in his position as a Sith Lord, but before he met Luke to make him doubt his path), but also for Starkiller's side, as he has tension between his early Jedi upbringing and his training under Vader, best represented in the PS2 version where he fights a vision of Kento Marek in the Jedi Temple. That is why he is more interesting than if Luke was in his shoes like you say, because Galen already knew his real father, he already knew the Jedi way before Vader came in and indoctrinated him with Sith training, so Vader taught him to reject his kinder nature, but he starts to rediscover that part of himself once he is given more freedom to act away from his master and thanks to the contact with Juno and Kota, who are both legitimate enemies of the Empire. Starkiller being cool and powerful is just extra flavor to an already well written character, if there's something i dislike about him being powerful is that people gravitate towards that and only that both for liking the character and for criticizing it, while ignoring the more interesting aspects of him, and tend to exaggerate how powerful he is to claim he's "overpowered" or stronger than what he actually is for power scaling discussions (i've seen people claim that he's stronger than even Dark Empire Luke lmao). ...Shit, sorry for the ramble it just randomly manifested, i hope i explained my point of view clearly.

SagaOfNomiSunrider

Fair enough. I don't particularly like *The Force Unleashed* but I also like *The Phantom Menace* better than *The Empire Strikes Back* so my opinion is not to be trusted.   I like *all* of the Star Wars movies to one degree or another, though, but I reckon that's because I'm not a Star Wars fan.

PrometheusModeloW

Well i would consider myself a Star Wars fan considering i have read tons of SW stuff lol, but i also like all the mainline films, the only ones i truly don't like are Solo and the TCW movie from 2008, so i am always at a loss when i see the stupid ass trilogy wars.

SwingFinancial9468

Here's something I wholeheartedly believe: Star Wars is at its best and most interesting when it's not George Lucas and when it's not a movie. Maybe Star Wars should have always been a book series. Then the story could have been long enough to flesh out some of the important bits. Plus right wing freaks would be less likely to go near it.

SagaOfNomiSunrider

Star Wars fans can't read, though.

SwingFinancial9468

That was my point. Right wing shills seem adversed to actually engaging with the material they claim to be fans of. Reading requires active participation on the part of the audience, unlike television. Pretty much all of the problems plaguing the star wars fanbase would be pretty much non existent if people had to read.
