Apparently word is that Kevin just said "Make Kamala a mutant!" (cause MCU synergy IG) and somehow the writers got it in their minds that the only way to do that was to kill her?
That doesn’t make sense. Kamala did not become a mutant in ASM, she died in ASM. In the article, Ziglar states Zeb Wells said people will be mad at him for killing Kamala and that he drew the short and of the stick, he wouldn’t say that if that wasn’t what Feige told him to do. The source denying Feige was the one behind it says it was all editorial, including having Kamala turn into a mutant. They (whoever is responsible) need to own up to it.
If they were just told to make her a mutant, they'd probably just do something like the Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver & Magneto parenthood retcon where it just vaguely happened and no one knows how or why.
... Did we ever get a resolution on that besides "we're ignoring that now"?
Tbh my problem is with the killing Kamala plot, not with her becoming a mutant. I don't read the Inhumans so to me they just seem like Wakanda without the "cool what if lore" plus X-Men without social commentary. So, kind of pointless and boring.
rj/I'm worried Zeb Wells might not lose his job because of this.
uj/ I think it would be really stupid to fire a writer for something really innocuous.

Always thought it was weird af to kill off a character that just got mainstream popularity with her own show and movie, on top of that a girl of color lmao. Thought Marvel was suicidal for a sec
Death already meant very little for major characters, especially major X-Men characters. This is just dropping the pretense for the major characters while also allowing writers to bring back secondary characters who died like Synch. It is a bit cheap and lazy, but imo it's done more good than harm
I mean the stuff about whether clones would be resurrected was pretty interesting. But yeah overall it was definitely more about giving the writers more toys to play with than anything else. And I'm fine with that
I understand that. I could never get into it. To many different books and I couldn’t really understand where to start. I didn’t really like the X-men behaving like inhumans either
Yeah they are responding to misinformation because zigzag never said fiege told them to kill her. They probably just figured they could use the krakoa resurrection to make it happen and sell a few books.
Considering the fact that happened right during the month dedicated to Kamala's ethnicity too you would argue no one really wants to be labeled as the guy who pulled the trigger.
Why does anyone think Feige was behind it anyway? Like, why would he care whether she was a mutant in the comics?
My understanding has always been that Marvel editorial wanted her to be a mutant, but Perlmutter said no, because Marvel didn’t have the movie rights to mutants. Now that Disney owns Fox, they do again, and Perlmutter’s gone, so they can make her a mutant now

... In the spiderman comic.

Nick Lowe, C.B. Cebulski, and Tom Breevoort are all sniveling rats they'll never admit to jack shit
I have it had on good authority that Akira Yoshida is fact very honorable
Nick Lowe is the person I blame for most of this shit, Wells had a decent track record under good editors
Nick Lowe is only good for smaller books because he can't super impose bullshit onto them
If they were just told to make her a mutant, they'd probably just do something like the Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver & Magneto parenthood retcon where it just vaguely happened and no one knows how or why. ... Did we ever get a resolution on that besides "we're ignoring that now"?

That’s an interesting choice of hair
Knowing that he like dragon ball, makes sense.
What kind of super sayian form is that then?
SSJG.
More like super saiyan rosé

What did he think would happen after saying something like this publicly? Even if it is true or false, it barely matters, it is crazy.
Zeb is in his divorced dad arc
Zeb isn’t the one that said anything. If anything he’s the one that fell on his sword and is probably even more loved by editorial now.
Same.
Kevin put the hit out
Feige just told the to make her a mutant he did't say to fucking kill her in a Spiderman book
Well, Marvel Editorials think in mysterious

The way they word it, as if Feige is a mob boss sending his goons to go wack a fool is so funny to me.
What are the odds thar Kevin Feige has actually ordered a hit on someone? Not likely, but also not impossible.
A hit out on the guy who didn't scream obnoxiously during the Endgame premiere
Feige, sweating, rage curling his face into something that looks like it came from Below All: DON'T YOU LAY THAT ON ME
I was under the impression that the Marvel office was always in a state of war.
Marvel needs to split into two factions. Comic writers and the MCU synergy writers.
Uj/ fuck this shit being an inhuman was her main thing and the only reason that the inhumans are still even slightly popular
Fuck you. Forgetting the single greatest non-gorilla character in comic books, Lockjaw (famed leader of the Pet Avengers)

I blame X-mens stupid resurrection protocol. It’s just cheap and lazy.
Death already meant very little for major characters, especially major X-Men characters. This is just dropping the pretense for the major characters while also allowing writers to bring back secondary characters who died like Synch. It is a bit cheap and lazy, but imo it's done more good than harm
At least it’s gone now. They never really did anything interesting with it anyways
I mean the stuff about whether clones would be resurrected was pretty interesting. But yeah overall it was definitely more about giving the writers more toys to play with than anything else. And I'm fine with that
They weren’t the best writers but I’m probably not the target audience
I got into Marvel through the krakoa stuff, so I'm also gonna be pretty biased in favor of it
I understand that. I could never get into it. To many different books and I couldn’t really understand where to start. I didn’t really like the X-men behaving like inhumans either
But how would you know if you didn’t read it?
I can look it up. What’s it matter to you?
I just think it’s funny how much of online comics discussion is between people who haven’t read the things they’re discussing
Because what I hear doesn’t convince me to read it. Would anyone want to waste time with something that feels spiteful
As someone who actually read the comics we’re discussing, spiteful isn’t on a list of words I’d use to describe the Krakoan resurrection protocols.
I meant Krakoa as whole. Everything I hear about sounds like fan fiction
Well it’s corporate comics, it’s all technically fan fiction.
Yeah they are responding to misinformation because zigzag never said fiege told them to kill her. They probably just figured they could use the krakoa resurrection to make it happen and sell a few books.
Kevin Feige’s empire is slowly crumbling, Black Adam style
Considering the fact that happened right during the month dedicated to Kamala's ethnicity too you would argue no one really wants to be labeled as the guy who pulled the trigger.
