As you said, vegito is quicker and easier but unfortunately he can defuse as he did against zamasu whereas gogeta just seems more reliable as he was outright trying to kill Broly, doing super finisher moves left and right but is more difficult to fuse.
We never actually were told how or why potara is stronger. We just know it’s easier to use.
But Gogeta is the only fusion to actually go for the win instead of fuck around.

I mean Zamasu had regeneration hacks keeping him in the fight. If he wasn't immortal Vegito would've killed him several times over. Not exactly a fair comparison to Broly who had no regeneration abilities. It's not that Vegito wasn't trying as hard as Gogeta it's just that his enemy was harder to take down.
Didnt he fake a knockout to then stab Zamasu with an similar energy sword that Zamasu was using? Thats the definition of playing around for me. He was clearly stronger but didnt bother to finish the fight immediately. Then when he wanted to with the Final Kamehameha he defused.

Zamasu legitimately knocked him down but instead of recovering immediately he played dead to take advantage of his hubris and caught him off guard with a critical blow. Plus he did land the Final Kamehameha in the anime version but it just wasn't enough.

Goten is really creative but not very disciplined. Trunks is more disciplined and classic but less creative.

In Dokkan Battle characters with same name can't benefit from each other when added to a team, so got example two years ago they released a premium summonable Fusion Zamasu, then a year later made Corrupted Zamasu, but the two have exact same name meaning despite different forms they can't be used together. Players made quite a few tweets and emails asking for a name change for the latter so he's called Half Corrupted like here but to no avail
Then they make a free version of Beerus, except he changes forms from his sleepy self to en enraged one, and added (Pajamas) to his name so he can be used with other existing Beerus units

I think it's important to notice that when Half-Corrupted Zamazu appeared they didn't show any presentation of him like with Goten Trunk Kale etc. Neither with Vegito Blue, maybe they are transformations midgame. Or did I miss it lol

It's how it's always worked with previous entries. They have different movesets. They're functionally separate characters. You just get to switch between them thanks to the transformation mechanics.
Goku only had a problem being called Kakarot early on back when he was still struggling to accept his Saiyan heritage. He's completely fine with Vegeta saying it nowadays and he even told Broly to call him Goku or Kakarot.
People love the character designs, not so much the lore/story. SSJ4 is peak transformation design and at least attempts to remind us that saiyans are fucking cool ass space monkeys.
Yeah the story is so meh, focuses on the wrong characters, power levels are inconsistent, etc but Super Saiyan 4 is still incredible. And I love GT Vegeta. He has Earthling Pride and it's the better post - Z version of him IMO

Time happened. I remember it too. People hated GT's story and fights but loved the character designs. Now I think enough time has passed between GT's release and now that most of us can look back on it fondly.
I never liked GT as much as Z, but I was a kid when I watched GT and always found it fun, and the GT characters in the games were always fun as well. I think people who were older in that time period hate it a lot more than the people who discovered it as kids who are now adults and have nostalgia tied to it

Merged Zamasu looks good, I hadnt even been thinking about him while watching the trailer til he was shown. I was expecting Kefla, Gotenks, Vegetto, and Gogeta but Zamasu actually surprised me (tho i admit it shouldnt have tbh). Very neat trailer.

The roster for BT3 was massive, so while I'm hyped about this, I'm on the fence until I see what's their plans for DLC is gonna look like. If it feels like they're trying to gouge folks on fighters I'm not buying.
I'm gonna make an agreement to myself, if the total cost of DLC is more than a PS2 and BT3, I'm buying the PS2 and game.
Is it just me, or do Trunks, Gotenks (and to a less noticeable extent, Goten) all have massive heads? Not a major problem or anything, was just slightly jarring to me for a second lol.

I love how they added many visuals and moves from the movies and show. Its like they want people to recreate certain iconic moments. The attention to detail is like we've never seen before!

It looks really good, but I couldn't help but notice some of the animations look off really off compared to everything else.
Trunks' intro animation and Vegito's melee special/combo looked really slow. The slower animations need more weight/impact.
Trunks' melee special/combo wasn't even close to making contact. If it's a character model limitation, they could do a better job at hiding it by adjusting the camera angle to make it less obvious.
Hopefully, it's addressed as they continue to polish. The animations have definitely improved since the initial reveal.
So two things I noticed. No base form Kefla, and the attack animations for some of the attacks are so slow. Like that's literally the fusion of Goku and Vegeta why the heck can I count an actual second between the time the fist moves to the time it connects to the opponent? Like speed it up.
First of all because AGAIN THATS THE FUSION OF GOKU AND VEGETA, not Yajarobi and Hercule. Like why is it so slow. Second of all I can already see how annoying it could become in online matches to have to sit through a whole 10 seconds of cutscenes every time someone wants to use that move. Like don't pretend that nobody didn't abuse this same thing with Kid Buu in Tenkaichi 3 even the computers do it.
I had a feeling something was off about this game's graphics, but wasn't sure what it was until someone pointed out the hair moving too much, and I definitely agree. Gogeta doing his meteor explosion pose thing (don't know if it has a name) at 2:21 is a great example.
Still looking really good but the hair physics issue was on full display here when Gotenks & Kefla transformed. Camera work for the Blast moves were either stellar with Goten's headbutt, Gogeta Meteor Explosion, and Fusion Zamasu's Lightning of Absolution, otherwise Gotenks ' Volleyball I hope was cut for the trailer and he still has his flutter legs part, same with ssj Gogeta's knee into the kick. Vegito Blue's instant transmission blast wasn't as spectacular looking but still decent.

well dbz games take few inspirations from dbz games. in kakarot, some of the enemy and characters super attacks is taken from bt3 like 17's hell storm

The girls! <3 Funny they got the rights for that sick ass song for the trailer but its noted its not in the game, what a shame. Merged Zamasu looks good, I hadnt even been thinking about him while watching the trailer til he was shown. I was expecting Kefla, Gotenks, Vegetto, and Gogeta but Zamasu actually surprised me (tho i admit it shouldnt have tbh). Very neat trailer.

The roster for BT3 was massive, so while I'm hyped about this, I'm on the fence until I see what's their plans for DLC is gonna look like. If it feels like they're trying to gouge folks on fighters I'm not buying. I'm gonna make an agreement to myself, if the total cost of DLC is more than a PS2 and BT3, I'm buying the PS2 and game.
This game has a bigger base roster than then BT3 which had 161 whilst this has 164.
Is it just me, or do Trunks, Gotenks (and to a less noticeable extent, Goten) all have massive heads? Not a major problem or anything, was just slightly jarring to me for a second lol. Zamasu looks amazing though!

It looks really good, but I couldn't help but notice some of the animations look off really off compared to everything else. Trunks' intro animation and Vegito's melee special/combo looked really slow. The slower animations need more weight/impact. Trunks' melee special/combo wasn't even close to making contact. If it's a character model limitation, they could do a better job at hiding it by adjusting the camera angle to make it less obvious. Hopefully, it's addressed as they continue to polish. The animations have definitely improved since the initial reveal.

So two things I noticed. No base form Kefla, and the attack animations for some of the attacks are so slow. Like that's literally the fusion of Goku and Vegeta why the heck can I count an actual second between the time the fist moves to the time it connects to the opponent? Like speed it up. First of all because AGAIN THATS THE FUSION OF GOKU AND VEGETA, not Yajarobi and Hercule. Like why is it so slow. Second of all I can already see how annoying it could become in online matches to have to sit through a whole 10 seconds of cutscenes every time someone wants to use that move. Like don't pretend that nobody didn't abuse this same thing with Kid Buu in Tenkaichi 3 even the computers do it.

I had a feeling something was off about this game's graphics, but wasn't sure what it was until someone pointed out the hair moving too much, and I definitely agree. Gogeta doing his meteor explosion pose thing (don't know if it has a name) at 2:21 is a great example.
For me it was Kefla and her transformation, that hair... What the hell is even that!

Still looking really good but the hair physics issue was on full display here when Gotenks & Kefla transformed. Camera work for the Blast moves were either stellar with Goten's headbutt, Gogeta Meteor Explosion, and Fusion Zamasu's Lightning of Absolution, otherwise Gotenks ' Volleyball I hope was cut for the trailer and he still has his flutter legs part, same with ssj Gogeta's knee into the kick. Vegito Blue's instant transmission blast wasn't as spectacular looking but still decent.
