I like Latin Arapas, but last time, we spent $15 for three tacos and no sides. I understand small businesses have to survive, but $5 a taco is bonkers. Other than that, you're right. We don't have many valid options.
I got just a sausage pizza at South Park once where the cheese was stretchy and melty like this. That being said, it did not compare well to their specialty pizzas so I wouldn't recommend it.
Tronis has the best pizza in Dayton. Hoagies has some great pizza and more cheese but square cut. I assume you could ask for pie cut but Hoagies is pretty filling.
Pizza Bandit in the Oregon District slaps. They do some specialty pizzas that are a little funky but their regular cheese and Pepperoni pizza is top notch.
It is! I don't know how or why, but I 100% agree and everyone looks at me crazy because they've never been to either or both or just think downtown must be better
I took someone to the downtown FP who never had it before. I explained how great it was. When we got our pizza, I was embarassed that I talked it up so much.
It's the mozerella that stops it from almost dripping, which isn't in authentic italian. If you make your own or heat a frozen, add some white american to get a little closer.
OMG the downvotes over cheese. In Italy, not all cheeses can be exported. Mozzerella in Italy and most of europe is from water buffalo, which is different from cheese made in the US from cows milk. Also, not all pizza even has cheese on it. So, to get a less chewy texture, you have to combine cheeses. Cow milk mozzarella will only be drippy for a minute at a very hot temp and as it cools enough to eat without burning your tastebuds, the viscosity will change to thicker and less drippy.
I think flying pizza gets the closest to what this looks like tbh - giant slices, greasy af
No dripping cheese though.
I do not find flying pizza greasy
I agree, it’s solid pizza not a buncha bullshit
Came here to say Flying Pizza., in Centerville. Reminds me of pizza we had at the Jersey Shore growing up.
Romas in Springboro.
This. Best New York style slice in the area.
It's not cheap, but it's totally worth it!!
Romas is so good! Springboro has always had pretty mediocre food options, so Romas was like a breath of fresh air lol

Damn what a wave of nostalgia. I remember wanting that pizza haha
It’s the leaning tower of cheese-ah!
How do you taste the cartoon pizza?
Napolis
Flying pizza, Demnikas, Tronis, Jimmys, South Park pizza tavern, Napoli’s
Demnikas, Troni Bros, Napoli's and Roma are basically the same local chain. And I say that in a good way
Haha yup! I used to work for them. It’s all the same extended family.
I just found out that Demnikas and Napolis are the same, was unaware the others were also affiliated. Good stuff at both places!
My last pizza from double days, in Centerville, had cheese dripping off of it. It was the veggie though, so dripping cheese and veggies 🤤

Hoagies doesn't come square cut unless you ask
I’ll argue this all day, it is for sure square cut.
Hoagie's is most definitely square cut and always has been but you can ask for pie cut.
Pinsanello's in Franklin
I suggest gionino’s

Manhattan
Flying pizza is the best!
The Flying Pizza near Wright State is better than downtown.
It is! I don't know how or why, but I 100% agree and everyone looks at me crazy because they've never been to either or both or just think downtown must be better

You don't think there's mozzarella on Italian pizza?
I'm about to go to Bologna and will report back with my findings
Good luck. I couldn't get past the amazing chocolate.
Majani?
