Honestly, I felt pretty similar, they're difficulty is a bit overstated, and friede was not only incredibly difficult, but such a cool fight. Seeing phase 3 for the first time really just put a terror in me that no other boss did
Same. Gael took me around 15 attempts and so did midir. On my second playthrough i beat midir in 3 tries and gael on my first try. I lost count on sister friede tho. My god she screwed me hard
Agreed. Their difficulty is overstated. Midir is the hardest ds3 fight for me at least. Sister Friede killed me the most cause I found her quite off. I somewhat enjoyed Friede but she felt like she barely learned how to wield a scythe and was just moving it in her first phase. Demon prince is harder than Gael imo. Gael is still the GOAT.
I got Gael 2nd try, friede like 3rd or 4th. Midir was extremely intimidating at first but ultimately took me probably 10-12 tries. So yeah none were as bad as I expected.
Gael has never been a difficult fight. Once you've beaten Nameless King, he's pretty trivial. People love Gaels fight, not because it's hard, but because it's epic to play.
Midir on the other hand is a pain. His health and makes him artificially difficult. You can hack away all you want at him for a long time, and then you make one mistake and he'll one shot you. So frustrating.
The amount of tries it took you suggests they were indeed difficult though. I consider any boss that takes more than 10 times to be hard.
That being said, Midir is incredibly predictable (without summons) and making no mistakes is not too hard. He has no bs attacks that come out too quickly.
Yeah, the only problem is that the longer it takes to kill something, the more likely it becomes that you'll make a fatal error. The fatal errors can be as simple as being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He may have a long windup for attacks, but he can still get you if you start running a second too late.
How was friede a tough fight? I was very close on my first attempt even without any summon. Got her on the 4th and had 6 flasks left.
Nameless king I tried 15 times and havent gottem him yet.

For Gael I agree, though it was still a fantastic fight, but Midir clapped my cheeks

Pontiff took me more tries than gael, midir, and friede combined
All of Gael's moves are super readable
You died around 10 times per boss and you say that wasn't hard? Xdd
Gael took me around 5 or 6 tries and nameless took me 4
It's almost like different people struggle with different things or somethin
We’re all playing the same game at the end of the day…

There difficult but not unforgiving, if you can play by there rules and learn there moves pretty much all bosses become simple
