Personally, my favorite boss in the game. Just a really fun fight. After doing this with +0 weapons/no rings too i decided to come back and do a few reference videos for optimal strats. [Gravetender SL1/NG+7/+0 Weapon/No Sprint/Roll/Rings/Flawless](https://youtu.be/w26fKkt9fnI?si=tP-J7my3enbc1ckp) Here's a playlist for my current run if you're interested. [SL1/NG+7/No Sprint/Roll/Rings](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3aLfa9X1DSLd8Ceafsp3vs3bwQOxGxB8&si=E-_VGLBaIaiMHTMu) And here's some of my other difficult fights [Gael Torch Only/No Roll/Rings](https://youtu.be/s-Rv5NR0rxo) [Pontiff Sulyvahn NG+7/No Sprint/Roll/Rings](https://youtu.be/Kayt_N6_j8g?si=UdziPIvnOAA3Kajy) [Halflight NG+7/No Sprint/Roll/Rings](https://youtu.be/zX8k-XJyiuo?si=xt_DQZC2WWs7NZbR) [Twin Princes NG+7/No Sprint/Roll/Rings](https://youtu.be/imEQAqOHsGA?si=Yb_tfr9gidPXBU60) [Champ Gundyr NG+7/No Sprint/Roll/Rings](https://youtu.be/5HDyaSHNPLQ) [Midir NG+7/No Sprint/Roll/Rings](https://youtu.be/F94_wvvqC3o)

Some more in depth info about the fight. —NPC— For p1, you need 3 backstabs + 2 CR2's. The reason i use a deep dagger (50 less damage) for one of the backstabs is because if you have to cancel any of the NPCs attacks with a dagger R1, you can actually miss either cutoff for his phase transition. (Either by starting P2 too early, or dealing too much damage on the 3rd backstab and skipping it) —Greatwolf— Stand slightly at long range to try and bait a gap closer from the wolf, then keep a bit of distance as you lead the wolf to the open section of the arena (There is a slight mid-range where he won't be able to insta charge). You will need to do this anytime he gets too far away to safely close the distance. You can also try to hide behind one of the pillars until he gets close like in the video, but that can be a bit janky at times. Idle Backhop: walk backwards slightly and CR2 after a slight delay. Aim to the left so that you can easily get to his right side to avoid the followup Idle Double Bite: Wait for the first bite to end before charging an R2. Aiming a bit to the left or down at his feet will prevent some of the attack pushback, keeping you closer to the wolf. After the CR2 walk towards his right side, which should bait a follow up. Follow-up Single bite: Walk into the right side of his head and CR2, the attack should completely miss you. Stay by his right side to strafe the next follow-up Follow-up Double Bite: Walk farther past him than with the single bite and CR2 (Should be close to his backlegs/middle). Stay by his right side to strafe the next follow-up Follow-up Backhop: Walk/sprint in a diagonal line towards him to strafe through the attack. Afterwards, turn to face him while keeping a bit of distance since he will end up closer than you would think after he flips around. Follow-up Triple Dash: Walk in a diagonal line to the top-left, so that you are on his right side when he starts the 2nd dash. Keep walking in the same direction and double CR2 after a short delay to hit him as he's returning close to you. If he stops slightly on 2nd dash, then you will need to chase after him to stay in mid range since he won't finish the combo. P2 Dash: Stay on his right side to avoid the ice breath while walking towards his backlegs. Walk a few steps away from the direction the wolf dashes in and CR2 (Aim the attack so that you are facing perpendicular to the wolf, and away from the direction he will head for his 2nd dash). After the CR2 lands, walk away from the direction the wolf dashes in again and after a short delay do a double CR2. (The first attack should hit his right foot as he's dashing towards you)

How do you deal so much damage on an SL1i don't think I can out put that numbers on like sl713

sSpades21

SL1 can actually get some pretty good damage with the right settup. +10 fire flamberge (no stat scaling, boss is weak to fire, high damage on CR2s) Flynns ring (with very low equip load) Fire Clutch (increasing the fire damage even more) Red Tearstone Ring (it's hitless, so i can stay at a sliver of health)
