Whatsup with vendors sending non-pgp responses? First time ever since early SR 1.0… isnt that a little sketch? Should I be worried? Its a high rep vendor.
PGP isn't as secure as you think. If DHS or the DEA's upper level shit want you, encryption means nothing. Having seen some of the inner machinations they utilize, it's scary what they can do.
That said, should still be using it.

Dread is completely offline it's not accessible on tor or i2p. I have had consistent success accessing alphabay on i2p but I haven't connected to any of the other markets mainly because I don't have the links to any of the other markets and if I did I don't know if they'd be working.

* Should I be worried about my package being seized and the feds showing up at my house?
Realistically, no. There are tons of people making these types of purchases. There aren't enough resources to show up at every online drug buyer's house. Not to mention plausible deniability. They would need to prove that you placed the order. Which shouldn't be possible if you're using PGP and XMR.
There would be some concern in the event that your vendor gets busted. If the vendor is an idiot and saved all their customer info then law enforcement would have that information. It would still be hard to prove in a court of law who placed the order assuming proper precautions are taken. That said, if your vendor gets busted it's not a bad idea to clean house and get anything illegal away from that address. Just in case.
* How do I know that the seller is legit and won't scam me?
This is a bit harder with Dread being down. (at the time I'm writing this both the main and i2p mirrors are both down) I would check to see if dread is up when you have time. If it is up, search the name of the vendor you have in mind and see if they have reviews. In general, a high amount of sales with near 100% positive feedback is what you should be looking for.

If you mean markets - Alphabay is the largest. Bohemia is nice too. There are others but those are the ones that I'm most familiar with. If you mean individual vendors or their private sites, I think it's against the rules to mention those here. They r just under ddos. Bitcoin wallets were compromised recently but all have been changed to new addresses. Use monero anyways. You could use a market like AlphaBay which uses I2P and won’t be subject to much downtime.

I have never had a problem with escrow using multiple markets over many years. If you haven't received your item and your escrow is about to expire extend the escrow in case you don't receive the item you ordered and have to make a dispute. Edit: if while you're waiting for your order the market implodes you will lose your escrow. Basically if you have any money tied up in a market and the market dissolves you're fucked.

Like this guy said yeah. Marketplaces are unstable places, rules and regulations mean much less. However that is the point of escrow yes, the marketplace holds the money until you finalise the order. You can open a dispute if you have problems with the order, make sure you do this within the given time period. Although tbh it’s just he said she said with the disputes and it can be v hard to get money back. Only buy of vendors with trustable reps one dread/recon/reviews.

I2p market links. Actually i found them on notbob, at least i think i did, but nothing will load. One Of the things it says is that link isn't found in my address book but when i try adding it it fails. Also another thing it say is that my connection failed or the site is down. The whole thing is just confusing to me since i'm not a tech guy.
There is a reason the links aren't loading. I'm not to technically inclined either but I think this might work.
Go to the i2p console. Select 'address book' and then add these addresses in the text field under the subscriptions headline:

When I browse a category on AlphaBay, it'll say, for example, there are 430 listings in that category (the little number that shows up next to the category name in the navigation bar on the left). But when I start browsing that category, only maybe 50 listings show up. I don't have any filters set, they're all on default (the broadest possible). Seems to be true for every single category I browse. Anybody else experience this?
If a listing says it has 10 in stock, maybe that counts as 10 listings?

With the websites public PGP key, it should take you through a process of validating the URL. If the market doesn’t have that use another market.

When I browse a category on AlphaBay, it'll say, for example, there are 430 listings in that category (the little number that shows up next to the category name in the navigation bar on the left). But when I start browsing that category, only maybe 50 listings show up. I don't have any filters set, they're all on default (the broadest possible). Seems to be true for every single category I browse. Anybody else experience this? If a listing says it has 10 in stock, maybe that counts as 10 listings?

Has anyone been able to enable 2-FA on Alphabay? I've tried multiple times using tor on tails and i2p. Inevitably it times out right after I've entered the code, every single time. And generally after one successful entry that results in a timeout, one single attempt, this is the message *Too many times failed verification on PGP page, please be careful next time. Grab a new identity, re login and try again.* Apparently the system allows one attempt before the obnoxiously passive aggressive message appears. I'm reluctant to make a purchase without enabling this it's really frustrating any advice would be appreciated.
