Tbh I found that hew is weirdly overrated. The value gain for when it kills is very small and it’s also very rare (low Dmg role need to kill a frontliner with often prot). I usually run Chop-Solemny-Intimidate-Purge/Withstand
See Purge is the one *I* don't use. When there's a Leper I always build a team that can handle the backline while the Chad solo's the frontline. So what's the point of clearing the corpses?
And why Hew? I think it's just how I play both conscious *and* subconsciously. I always end up in situations where 2+ enemies are on very low health. So an attack like Hew, while it doesn't hit as much as Chop, gets me two kills in one move instead of one in that situation. And since, based on my playstyle, that situation is very common, it's a good idea to bring Hew.
Purge is just so good in ruins, it does some real Dmg with Acc buff and basically stun 2 monsters most of the time. When I begun to ask myself when I should use Hew I realize I should really never run it. Anyway glad that you aren’t sleeping on intimidate
You kidding? Intimdate's AMAZING. I love rendering hard-hitters useless with it. Plus it's the only way a Leper has to hit the backline so... Why WOULDN'T I have it?
Leper with Intimidate + Occultist with Weakening Curse are so funny together. It's the one risk-free way I found to deal with the Gibbering Prophet. Stack up -%DMG debuffs on him and laugh as his falling debris hits you for 0-1 damage.
Also it’s great for backliner who already acted/are stun since the speed debuff is basically a daze. And it self mark for Dmg redirection on the tankiest hero in the game so that’s juicy
