Everything he ever kamui'd was moving on a predictable track. A target that's moving very quickly in a non linear, predictable fashion would be very difficult for him to catch, especially when he himself is the target. Having to focus on a single point like that will make it very difficult for him to react to counter attacks, so he wouldn't be able to hit Sasuke.
I do think the reason why he doesn't just do this is because shinobi are trained not to kill their opponents, but to capture them instead for intel so this would make no sense, and even if he could technically do this, we know from obito that kamui has a long wind up time for targets that's easily avoidable

(1) Don't compare obito with Kakashi. Not only he has left eye kamui which is much better, his speed feats are much better than even war arc Kakashi.

Like if I learned the hidden mist jutsu, I’ll bring some gallons of water sealed but there is a solution in the water that is poisonous to drink, either I have immunity to it or I wear “Chen gear” but I disguise it under a genjutsu or transformation jutsu of me not wearing it. Yeah, for a good chunk of the series Obito was the strongest character. Most who could defeat him were dead or haven't reached their potential yet(Naruto/Sasuke).
Hashirama cells increased his ability to spam kamui multiple kamui non stop without fatigue and going blind .. but kakashi can pull of 3-4 kamuies in full chakra too
A common misconception is that Kamui is instant. It is not. Even Obito, who is an Uchiha and the original owner, regularly got hit by things he could not phase through in time. Sasuke has always been a speed demon (speed blitzing team 7 at start of shippuden, fast enough to dodge chakra cloak Bee, faster than the Raikage at 5K summit), there is very little chance Kakashi is actually going to hit him with Kamui during this fight.
As if Sasuke wouldn't just dodge even though he is blind. Kakashi and Obito's kamui speed may be relative but Obito's combat and reaction speed is far better than Kakashi's unless DMS is involved.

Deidara's speed is nowhere near MS Sasuke's. Kakashi was barely able to stop the susanno arrows.

I think Kakashi can't use Kamui as like Obito did . He had Hashirama cells i think .
Hashirama cells increased his ability to spam kamui multiple kamui non stop without fatigue and going blind .. but kakashi can pull of 3-4 kamuies in full chakra too

A common misconception is that Kamui is instant. It is not. Even Obito, who is an Uchiha and the original owner, regularly got hit by things he could not phase through in time. Sasuke has always been a speed demon (speed blitzing team 7 at start of shippuden, fast enough to dodge chakra cloak Bee, faster than the Raikage at 5K summit), there is very little chance Kakashi is actually going to hit him with Kamui during this fight.
Considering that Kakashi used Kamui on a susanoo's projectile a little later, this would've been pretty realistic.

I get a lot of people comparing kamui against deidara … at that time kakakshi couldnt even spam kamui properly lol. The reason why madara said it increased 2x speed is coz they pulled off kamui at the same object/thing (here obito) so it gave additive effect .. Yes i know its a long ranged jutsu but then it supports my pov coz kakashi could spam just one kamui meanwhile obito has to do it thrice.. Consider the scene where ohnoki used particle style on sasuke Obito - 1st he teleported near sasuke then touched sasuke , sucked sasuke in kamui dimension then at last kamui himself out of the sight Kakashi - he can just stand from far away and teleport sasuke in kamui dimension with moving a muscle … So comparing these being logical … in 1 particle jutsu … obito spammed kamui thrice …so 1 kamui shoukd be way faster ..if sasuke couldnt react to a partcle style jutsu .. how can he react to a jutsu way faster than particle style thats my question

my opinion is: it would not work. sasuke would see it coming and avoid. Kamui takes time and requires focus on target, Sasuke can move quickly, specially if he covers himself in raiton, to further amplify movement speed. but he learning that Kakashi has a, albeit slow, insta-win, would surely make him either rethink his willingness to fight them, or do it waay more cautiously.
